Just picked up a Genesis II S-335 for $648 at Home Depot in East Palo Alto, CA. The tag said the selling price was $1079. They had about 70 grills of all assorted brands chained together at the front of the store. The one I picked was in excellent shape. All stainless. Delivery was free. This was already assembled. There is a new Genesis II coming out in 2022 so maybe that is why there is significant discounting.
Get a 2021 if you can because they have 10 year warranty on all parts. For 2022, they reduced the warranty on the cabinet parts that commonly rust to 5 years.
Forgive me but is this grill made of solid gold? What makes it worth $1199?
I usually buy a SD $100 grill that lasts me probably seven years.
I have one of these. There's a handful of reasons you'd pay a bit more than some of the competing units
- Grease Collection system
- Burners
- Actual stainless heat deflectors
- Cast firebox
- Hefty lid
- Functional storage underneath
- Warranty is 10 years on most of the parts and whatnot.
It's an "in general" build quality thing. They're definitely overpriced at MSRP but if you can snag one on clearance, my opinion is it's worth it. I've owned 4 gas grills in 17 years, and while I have some complaints about how the chassis is put together, the rest of it is by far the nicest quality I've personally owned.
I bought one a year ago and I plan for it to be the last propane grill I purchase until I build my outdoor kitchen. Cleaned, covered, and generally kept out of the weather when not it use, it should last a while.
Minor complaints:
- The side burner operates at 'flames of hell' temps, even on the lowest setting.
- The casters are suspect.
- No real handle if you have to lift it over a hump or bump while rolling, you have to grab the shelf. It's pretty sturdy but I don't like it, and feel like one day it will strip something out.
- The Propane 'fuel gauge' is stupid, I don't hate-hate it, but it annoys me.
- They've saved some money over previous models by changing some of the screws to plastic clip ins. I'm sure that $.04 x 500k units makes a difference on the balance sheet and somebody got a hell of a bonus, but, come on guys.

Great find, saw the same in Hackensack NJ and an E315 for $498 (regular $849)
I called about 5-6 Lowe's within an hour's drive looking for it. I found a Weber Genesis II E-315 for 207 (clearance and display model) northern Denver (Westminster).
Reminds me of a couple years ago when I got my Weber 6 burner for $324. Truth be told, I'd prefer this with the side burner, mine is lacking that. Good luck to those on the hunt! None in Chicagoland it looks like.
Same. I love ymmv deals. They are rare sometimes but when you find them they are usually deep discounts such as this Weber. I found the Smokefire ex4 and ex6 on clearance at lowes. I didn't post it on here. The couple ymmv deals that I have posted, ppl have discouraged it.
Half hour to the closest lowes, so lowes YMMV deals are not worth it unless I'm already over there.
This has been around for a couple months, best to just stop by and see if they have them. Employees are too lazy half the time to look and will trust whatever their computer says.
I'd probably give them the benefit of the doubt and bet they're just busy

Nice find. I always get so mad people can get it for so cheap. 650 is solid imo. Did you happen to know other locations in the bay area with stock and price? Did 648 show up on brick seek or did you have to go in person
