The kettlebell is also on sale for $99 but not available for shipping. Plenty of stores in my area (Texas) have stock.
I purchased the dumbbells last week when they were $249 and while I loved the design, one of the dumbbells wouldn't adjust the weight. I ultimately returned them. With that being said, I just bought another pair at the discounted price and I will pick up this morning. I hope these work correctly. Also, if you order online and pay the $199, you can do a return and rebuy at pickup instore to get your military discount. That drops another 10 percent off the price.

The only annoyance is that sometimes the dumbbell has to be reseated multiple times if it's not set into the base evenly against the plates. If you remember to keep both sides charged, and they last for multiple workouts, then it should be fine.
I also added a bench and a mirror which gave me a lot more versatility.
For $199.99 these are a steal. I'd buy another pair if I had a use for them. I'm not sure I need a Kettlebell as well otherwise I'd jump on that too.
For me, it doesn't make sense to get weights that needs power to function. It limits where you can use it and is useless if it's not charged. Also the idea of a tech equipment that is by design heavy and has a higher likelihood of being dropped and damaged doesn't make sense. If you want something that lasts many years and even decades, stick with something like PowerBlock.

So far, I haven't had any issues with mine. I originally bought when they were $249 but returned them the same day since one of the handles would not work at all. The new pair I received are flawless so far. I replaced a set of Bowflex 1090s with these. Although the 1090s go to a higher weight, I didn't like how bulky and awkwardly shaped they were. I also have a set of Ironmasters that go up to 120 pounds so I use the Jaxjox when I'm doing supersets.
The only issue I'm worried about is 5 years down the line when the battery or electronics stop working. It's unknown if the company will still be around and even if they are, it's unknown how much it will cost to repair. As far as I can tell, there is no way to manually adjust the weight. You have to use the electronic interface. If these ever break on me and I can't get them repaired. I'm going to take them apart since I'm assume there is some kind of lever inside to manually adjust the screw.

I have Bowflex kettlebell and for that, you are supposed to test it's mechanism periodically to make sure it can lock in the plates. Same should go for these.

Guess the foot in mouth disease is rampant these days!

Longevity may not necessarily end up being ten years, but I look at it as worthwhile if it lasts at least two years relative to the cost of a gym membership.
There are a lot of benefits to these, not the least of which being that they feel like conventional dumbbells rather than the odd shape of the Bowflex. The base also works reliably well: changing weight is easy and quick.
My only complaints are that the weight has to be placed back into the base perfectly even at certain weights otherwise it may need to be reseated as I've mentioned and that the app is mostly useless.
I stand by my opinion that $199.98 is a steal, and if I had any reason to buy another pair I would jump on it.
Edit: my other initial complaint was the slightly odd weight range in increments of six pounds, but I've gotten used to it.
