Sounds like we won't see 85" version for under $2k. Wondering if I should just get this and skip 85 for now, but it's really not much difference for the amount of picture we would be getting at $2200 for 85" vs 1600 for 75",

I was between these two as well, bought the QN85 yesterday since a costco employee told me it was going on sale today. Picture looks fantastic with the Apple TV, doesn't look great with cable but I'm assuming that's due to the low resolution. I went with the Samsung for the anti reflection and and brightness

Probably can't go wrong with either

Got this tv 3 weeks ago, been watching the price daily waiting for a drop. Going to get a price adjustment today.

LOVE THE TV. Great picture quality, interface is smooth. Able to install apk's.

I don't know, but this price is until feb 13 and seems to be across all major retailers. But since it is costco, they will pricematch themselves for at least 30 days and take a return for 90, so that would cover your time period.

keep in mind not all sizes of the qn85 shares the same panel. only the 85" qn85 uses a VA panel whose specs should be similar to the 85" qn90. The smaller versions of the qn85 use a ADS panel which may influence your decision. With that said, the 85" is still stupid expensive at 3000

It's about 28% more screen area (2,407 square inches vs 3,090 square inches) for about 27% more money ($1,600 vs $2,200). I am also debating this.
