This is with bestbuy, so no bill credit involved, it's instant trade in value that deducts from the sale price, and tax is on the deducted selling price too. Don't mislead others.

ATT is $100 cheaper further. $500 for mini and $600 for regular. But trade in values are horrible.

T-Mo is still the best in value overall.

Not true, I have 7 active installment plans right now with bill credits and I think I have only 3 of the phones I am using. Bill credits are still going strong. As long you don't cancel your account or cancel the line the bill credit is attached to, no reason why the bill credit would stop. It's in the terms as well: if you cancel the line, noting about if you switch out the phone. Think about this way, what if you lose your phone or your phone breaks?
It's not like you have to convince me of anything i believe 100s of posts on here vs one TMobile rep who really doesn't care one way or another ..did you pay off the phones prior to trading in and have the credits continue or just trade the phone in with a balance still owed ?

So if my wife and Mom both have iPhone 11 on Verizon, can they just trade in and switch to T-Mobile at Best Buy? And get a 13 for $200 each?

And just for clarity they are not obligated to any contract or bill credits etc right? Just month to month and they own the iPhone 13 outright?

Of course Tforce agent is telling me i would lose the bill credits...doesnt matter how many ways I spin it to them-- almost like they are pissed i would be doing biz with best buy..and ive got 4 answers on here-- 2 saying it will work and 2 saying it wont... geez sorry i asked lol
I was in the same situation. I also called TMobile, and they also explained to me that I need to fully pay the phones and that will basically negate the credits. In reality, Best Buy doesn't have idea what arrangement you have with TMobile about these phones, and it doesn't care.
TMobile's EIP is a financial agreement with you on the line, i.e. as far as you don't change that line, they credit you for the amount loaned to you which you used to buy a phone from them. They don't care what phone is, they care you pay your loan and they give you a credit for that because you keep the line/s. If you have lost or damaged and replaced your original EIP phones, that would not change it either, for example.
I traded in couple iPhone12Pro, which I have on EIP for another 12ish months, to iPhone13Pro. I activated the 13Pros myself, TMobile recognizes them as fully paid devices and they've been unlocked from day one. Actually, you don't even need to put new SIM, I used my old SIM in one of them, in that case you don't even need to activate anything. Just be sure when you do your trade in at Best Buy, don't forget to pull out and keep your original SIM with you. 1. You can immediately re-use it in the new phone 2. Most importantly, you don't want your active SIM to be with someone else even for the several minutes while your replace it in your TMobile account with the new one.

If you pay off the phones, the credits may actually stop. For that, no one is sure how the deal is actually set in TMobile's auto billing software system - it's all automated algorithms. I have talked with some really experienced TMobile reps at their deal desk. Just trade in the phones with the balance owed, keep paying the balance till your EIP contracts end. That is basically your consumer's bank loan, just keep paying it regularly.

For those asking about how this impacts EIP... my wife had an iPhone 12 on EIP last year. I traded her phone in during the initial promo last fall for an iPhone 13. Our account still shows as her iPhone 12 being on it and we're still getting credits without issue. As long as you don't notify T-Mobile of anything, they won't have any clue. I have no idea what Best Buy does with these.

I have both. I have ones I paid off because I sold them unlocked and ones I did not pay off because the buyer was okay with a T-Mobile locked phone.

If you pay off the phone. You will still receive the bill credits and then do whatever you wish with the phone.

I done so for pixel 4a and iPhone 12 mini. Bill credits were moved to account level I believe.

I did it on a $20 talk and text plan. Don't think you can get any lower than that
I had that tmobile $20 talk/text in December when they had this deal but at $100 but I cancelled the $20 line so can I reactivate it now and jump in on this 24 hr deal?

If so how since I can no longer log into my account since when I cancelled they said the line AND tmobile account will also cancel so no access online to reactivate.
