This is with bestbuy, so no bill credit involved, it's instant trade in value that deducts from the sale price, and tax is on the deducted selling price too. Don't mislead others.

ATT is $100 cheaper further. $500 for mini and $600 for regular. But trade in values are horrible.

T-Mo is still the best in value overall.

Can you please provide more details how to get the iphone without a plan?
My post was specific to getting a plan from Costco without having to buy a phone. I've already posted that those who don't want a TMo plan need to have a TMo using friend or family member facilitate the trade in since it costs them nothing but their time.

My existing phone just broke so I don't have anything to trade-in.
Can I buy AT&T carrier version and still unlock it with the via fake/empty at&t sim card? (I am subscribed to Mint right now for next 6 months so don't want to buy new plan, just want a phone).

Yes you can do it without jeopardizing your monthly credits. Tried and tested.

I'm currently using iPhone 12 with ongoing monthly credits from T-Mobile. Can I trade this in without having to settle the remaining balance?
You will need to continue to pay (if any) the remaining monthly EIP and get your bill credits, and keep that line open for the duration of the remaining time on EIP.

I have 2x iphone SE2 ($360 trade-in promo) and 2x iphone 11 pro max ($650 trade in promo). Has anyone been able to stack a trade-in with the BOGO $800 off iPhone 13 Pro Max (add 1 line)?

If trade-in's are not allowed for the BOGO promo, then it is better to buy from Costco.

I'm with you.. just trying to determine WHY the tforce rep I'm consulting with keeps insisting this promo will kill my current bill credits bc it is (according to them) considered a recurring device credit promo (and you can't have 2 promos on one line at a time) even after I sent them the terms from BB page and I keep telling them it's a trade in/ pay in full deal.. I even forced the issue to supervisor who agent says backed up their statement… most likely these particular agents really don't know bc it's a BB promo and they aren't sure what the real answer is…I'm just trying to pick it apart to see if this in any way is different then past similar promos to justify why they seem so positive it's a no go…

FYI if you want to ensure the BB reps don't try and set the phone up for you… go pick it up 5 mins before close…they want to go home… you are in a hurry…fastest phone trade in and purchase I've ever had.. maybe 5 mins….
Curious why you reached out to T-Force. Did you happen to purchase this phone on an installment plan and NOT a one time payment? Only then you will end up with two recurring credits on a single line. I can confirm that I am getting the credits on a phone already traded in with BestBuy last November. But, the phone purchase from BB was outright.

I have placed an order which is yet to be picked up and I will be turning in an iPhone 12 which still has over a year of EIP left. That is again a one-time payment.

Yes, but only one at a time. You can use your phone number to place the order and upgrade, and you will have to go into the store, trade in the iPhone XR, and pick up the new iPhone before you can use the same phone number to place another order and upgrade.

You do not need to activate it. I recommend fully charging the phone (or at least have it partially charged), making sure it turns on, and taking off the sticker on the back of the phone - there shouldn't be anything more than that. I have traded in 4 iPhone XR devices in the last 2 weeks - including 3 at the same time yesterday - and it has all gone flawlessly. That said, there is always the chance that the employee is not experienced with trade-ins and could mess up.

I hope this helps,
Tofu Vic
Do you have to wait for the first unlock request to go through before trading in and upgrading again for another phone? Or it can be done once the first trade in is done and picked up and processed. I have two iPhone 8+ to trade in and looking to get two iPhone 13s. Thanks

Thanks a lot TofuVic, one question does the trade in we do for this deal count against the 5 phone trade in for GC limit that best buy has??

I see you mentioned doing 4..hence my query..

Like usually you can trade in a iPhone or Samsung for a trade in with a GC from best buy but they limit to 5 per model per person per 12 month period..

Nope, you do not need to wait for any unlocking to happen at all.

If you have two T-Mobile phone numbers - or access to two - you can do both trade-ins during one visit.

Take care,
Tofu Vic

I do not know enough about the gift card limits to say anything specific about it, but lots of people have traded in more than five recently. My assumption is that these phone trade-ins have nothing to do with the gift card limits.

Again, I am not positive so you may want to wait for a confirmation from someone else.

I hope this helps,
