This is with bestbuy, so no bill credit involved, it's instant trade in value that deducts from the sale price, and tax is on the deducted selling price too. Don't mislead others.

ATT is $100 cheaper further. $500 for mini and $600 for regular. But trade in values are horrible.

T-Mo is still the best in value overall.

I got the iPhone promo from last Black Friday. I called 3 day later after inserting the sim card to have it show in their system. I called cs and I told them I was going on a long trip outside of the country for a couple of months and that I needed it unlocked as soon as possible. The rep got it unlocked a few hours after I called. For new customers, there was something called buyers remorse where you can use the service and call to cancel service within 30 days of activation to get a full refund. I don't know if buyers remorse still exists but I found this https://www.t-mobile.com/responsi...urn-policy

Apparently you only have 20 days to return/cancel activations and get a full refund if you are a new customer.

Q: Do we have to pick a plan from Best Buy for T-Mobile if we are not a current customer?
Ans: You don't have to pick a post paid T-Mobile plan from Best Buy to get this deal. You can sign up for the plan anywhere and have it active before trading in your device at Best Buy.
How do I get this done?

So I have grandfather one plan for T-Mobile. Best Buy is saying I need to change plan to magenta or magenta max to trade in. If I change plan now between cycle , I will be charged double for monthly payment . Any solution for this ?
Appreciate all help
Best Buy Website says you need Magenta Max or the clerks in the store are saying this? I have Magenta and have been able to upgrade the same line for 3 phones through the Best Buy website.

Sorry I just saw you have OnePlus. But you should still be able to do the upgrade through the BestBuy website.

Does it mean I can enroll and exit T mobile within 2 month (unlock)? The cheapest plan is $65 per month, let's say my original plan is $15 per month, then I pay $50 * 2 = $100 extra. Considering there is $300 off promo, I get $200 net discount, very good deal for an iPhone 13! Too good to be true, anyone can confirm this?

So long as you choose the one time payment option, you are 100% correct on everything. Just make sure you don't choose the payments option.
Thank you very much and repped πŸ˜€
When I loaded my cart and added the trade in, it asked if I wanted to add another device, I clicked yes, and it said that I had added all the devices I could for that order. Does that mean I can checkout this cart and start a new transaction for my second phone, or is it a one and done deal?

Or, maybe just buy a new phone with a new plan at AT&T, get it unlocked immediately, then cancel service with them?
Here is a link to AT&It's unlocking policy: https://www.att.com/support/artic...KM1262649/
In addition to not having to wait for it to be unlocked, you'll save another $100 as of right now. Which would more than cover the activation fee and the pro-rated service.

Yea but now the 13 mini is $600. So $600-$535 (12 mini value) = $65 for a 13 mini 128gb (plus the cost of the 12 mini)
Oh, nice. Didn't realize the 13min went down. I have one more 12 mini to do the trade in for the 13 series. The 12 mini was from BF Sam's

I have Simple Choice and I was able to order with tradein. At no point during the order process (disclaimer, T&C) did I see you need to switch to Magenta. At the store I only got a printout of the tradein phone T&C. Maybe if you order through the Mobile area in store these guys can mess up your account

Check the wiki. Another person did it with SC and one even did it with the cheap $20 text and talk plan

Yes, but with AT&T, you can have it unlocked immediately and cancel the service, whereas with T-Mobile, you have to have the device active on your account 40 days. These are both per the Unlocking Policies posted on both carriers website. I know there are ways around having to wait the 40 days, but if you're not interested in that hassle, it may be worth a few extra bucks to go with AT&T.

Can anyone tell me of it's only one phone per person or account? I have an iPhone 13 in cart with trade in for my daughter. I went and tried to add another for my wife but it said can't be purchased with item already in cart.
