This is with bestbuy, so no bill credit involved, it's instant trade in value that deducts from the sale price, and tax is on the deducted selling price too. Don't mislead others.

ATT is $100 cheaper further. $500 for mini and $600 for regular. But trade in values are horrible.

T-Mo is still the best in value overall.

I just placed the order online for iPhone 13 with my XR as a trade-in. It's ready for pickup but I'm unable to make it to the store until Tuesday. I know people are saying here that this deal ends tomorrow but I'm wondering if I go pick it up on Tuesday, will there be an issue?
You're good. You have 5 days to pick up the order with the terms you agreed to ($310 + tax + XR valued at $390). After that, it will get cancelled. Wouldn't wait till closing on day 5 and risk it, but Tuesday is fine

Yes, I used the same wording as I sent to get the first one unlocked. "Hi, I need help unlocking my iphone 13 that I purchased at Best Buy and paid in full."

I tried to unlock the iphone without activate Tmobile and I did not work at all. I can confirm. Need to activate phone first and try to chat with another Tmobile Expert team via Twitter (Make sure not chat to the same expert whoever denied your unlock request LOL It happened to me and I tried 4th time to chat and luckily I got same expert unlocked my phone before. He unlocked my phone no question ask) Try to chat till you get the nice expert can unlock your phone. Hope it help you guys

I would give it a week or so and then using your friends sim in the phone to chat with them telling you need this device to be temp unlocked because you need to visit some other country. usually even temp unlocks would stick on iphones and chats are pretty easy to deal with.
Thank you. some earlier comments say that T-Force only asks the phone number and IMEI number to unlock. Since my friend live a bit far, I tried to put my neighbor's T-Mobile SIM to activate and contact T-Force. However, they asked me to put my friend's SIM in it, wait for 3 days to see the usage of my friend's number on that iPhone and then unlock it. Kind of a pain.

If I buy 2 phones with the same line (phone number). Can I get both phones unlocked using the same phone number?

Thanks in advance

I was able to trade in an XR using a friend's tmobile account. Tforce says that they put in a request with the manufacturer and it could take up to 72 hours. Is that normal? I scanned this thread and didnt see anyone mention it.

The agent said:
The freedom to use your device as you choose is a priority of mine. We can help out with the unlock if it meets all of the qualifications. I can submit to the manufacturer for the device to be unlocked.Once submitted, it will take up to 72 business hours to receive the email with unlock instructions. As it turns out we lack a way to expedite this process in anyway, but it is normally completed within the 72 hours

It is normal. In reality it can take 5 minutes or it may not unlock even after 72 hours. Don't worry, just follow up with them. Also, if they say it is unlocked but you still see 'SIM locked' in About page, do a factory reset. For one phone, I did that and it was showing No SIM restrictions. For another. i didn't even restart phone.

All,
Here is my experience. My parents have been with sprint and T-Mobile for almost 20 years. I traded in an old XR for a 13 and paid the difference. I contacted T-Mobile on Twitter and they immediately unlocked it. Again they have been customers for two decades. I suspect that helped.

Second, I took an 11 I got from the Total Wireless deal and got a mini with it. I took an old Verizon sim and inserted it to the 13 mini. It was locked to Verizon and then I paid a factory unlock service on eBay. $2 and it was unlocked in 24 hours.

My parents have always paid their bill and don't try to get deals/ upgrade phones all the time so I suspect this may have helped. The 13 will be used with their account, the other one will be used by a sibling not on their account and have AT&T.

I did an unlock with Tforce today and it took 5 minutes. If you run into issues try another rep.

Not sure if you want to try this but would you happen to be able to reset and see if the unlock is still on it? I remember years ago for an iPhone 5s from virgin mobile, I paid a seller on eBay to unlock. It worked but a few months later when I was going to sell it, I reset it and it was no longer unlocked.

I have used this four other times in the past 2 years (iPhone XS $99 Walmart deal and 3 SE 2000 prepaid Verizon phones that were on sale). I get them unlocked and take them to South America for family members. I have never had an issue. When I check sickw.com. They are registered as sim unlocked. From what I've heard is once a phone is unlocked apple will never re lock it

It's possible your phone was soft unlocked similar to an Rsim

I do use the phones for a few days/week to make sure they have no issue and the. Factory reset them before I get to South America

You'd have to open new lines, get the deal and then move those phones over to your grandfathered plan then cancel your new lines.

When you say open new lines you mean like a total new T-Mobile account right? Because I can't get past the T-Mobile linked account phone number last four digits because of the plan. Sorry if I'm being very detailed or if I'm confusing

Most likely your plan won't support this deal. My friend have similar plan, I tried to use this deal but always got error. Finally I created a new TMobile account. If you change your plan however, it will work.
