This is with bestbuy, so no bill credit involved, it's instant trade in value that deducts from the sale price, and tax is on the deducted selling price too. Don't mislead others.

ATT is $100 cheaper further. $500 for mini and $600 for regular. But trade in values are horrible.

T-Mo is still the best in value overall.

Bill credit yup. If you do not plan to leave like me bill credit is fine. You only need to keep the line active. It does not matter what you do with the phone as long as the line stays open for the bill credit.

The sprint tmobile deal on sprint.com is a way better deal. The XR gets you $800 trade in while these give $250 and $275 for the xsmax while the sprint offer nets you $800
That's great if you already have a good sprint account. Most on this TMO thread do not have Sprint. So yes, if you have Sprint account and are staying there for 30 months (or migrating) then the $800 ABC deal for X or XR is great.

If you have TMO magenta Max, then same great $800 for XR etc. ABC.

I have both currently, but will kill off the Sprint line eventually as that Kickstarter line cost me more than per line on Magenta Max.

For most TMO users here, not on Magenta Max or other premium, then the BB is the better deal in several ways. $390 for XR instead of $400 at TMO. . .but $100 discount on the phone and tax for most on $310 vs tax on $800. And of course not being tied down to bill credits, when some here are just signing up for TMO for the phone and then splitting.

The XS max for $275 TIV is just a glitch. . .so if that's your Trade in phone kind of SOL unless they fix it before deal ends (might be able to get a manager to do an adjustment in store by very YMMV)

Personally Im staying with TMO long term, have Max, so I did the iP13 deal through TMO, and did the S21 deal through BB it was similar to this deal but $300 discount. . .those were for me. I did the iP13 through BB for a friend

For ppl with One Plan or keep getting the "please try again" error message, go to your T-Mobile app and chat with the rep. I tried like 100 times with Best Buy and various T-Mobile reps but finally got through after the T-Mobile app rep fixed the issues at my account

Yes you can, traded in an SE2 still on payments yesterday no issue
Wait, what?

You don't have to pay off the trade-in phone?
Did you buy the new phone outright? (No installments?)

How did they process the trade-in credits (do they pay off your outstanding payments with it, subtract that credit from the new phone, and then you pay the balance of the new phone, or do they set up new phone installment payments for the amount owed?)

This could be interesting for those who have good credit, want a new phone and are eligible continue doing EIP for the outstanding new phone balance.

For those who are interested in signing up for the $20 unlimited talk/text plan and getting this phone, then cancelling the plan, here are the instructions:

1) Sign up for the plan either over the phone or in person
2) Visit T-Mobile store and make sure they call into their "credit department" to have your SSN associated with the number (this is required even if you do this over the phone)
3) While you're at the store, go to the Best Buy app and try to get the phone by logging in using your phone number and last 4 of your SSN
4) Once order submitted and confirmed go pick up the phone
5) Insert the T-Mobile SIM provided with the phone
6) Make several long phone calls that day
7) The next day, message T-Force/T-Mobile on Facebook/Twitter to get your iPhone unlocked (This is usually instantaneous)
8) Wipe the phone or insert another carrier's SIM to unlock (Make sure you check the information page oh the iPhone where it shows "No SIM Restrictions")
9) Separately call into T-Mobile to cancel the plan (if you don't want it anymore)

This is guaranteed to work.

I am trying to purchase from Best Buy and the rep says their iPhone(Best Buy inventory) can't be unlocked to use international carrier even though it is unlocked by T-Mobile. Is this correct?

BestBuy iPhones are Universal iPhones.

When you activate with a carrier, It's then tied to that carrier until you request an unlock the assigned carrier.

So if you activate from T-Mobile. Then you need an unlock code from T-Mobile. Once you get it, feel free to use it as you please

Is it worth upgrading from a iPhone 12 to a 13 for about $55? Also, currently on an installment plan with T-Mobile where I get a $26 credit on my bill. Will I keep getting the $26 credit if I trade in the IP 12?YeY

Yes, in my case, it is. I had the 12 mini and it kept switching to the silent mode by itself. Additionally, the screen sensitivity was too much especially while operating the phone with one hand. If anything, the 13 will afford you a longer trade-in real estate. If possible, the 13 Pro would be an awesome upgrade over the regular/mini 12. Good luck!

Got mine now and put VZ in it and it worked perfectly fine no issues whatsoever. Would there be an issue in the future from Tmob end?

Just to give a heads up, my bus acct does qualify for this promo. This is the first time that the acct was eligible thru BB. I did encountered those typical errors messages, i.e. why the item has not been added to the cart, try again later, contact our sales dept for information etc... This time, I was able to add just 1 to the cart then check out. When arrived at BB, the rep was confidently enough to process 3 more individual transactions for 3 additional phones. All 4 transactions was processed thru the same master phone number with 4 different eligible lines of upgrades. I was photoed for each transaction. The order was placed 3 days ago and picked up today. All trade ins were swiped/reset and the entire process took about 35-40 min.

The rep did say, currently BB working in conjunction with Tmo, is experiencing issue with the new sim card ever since the merger with Sprint. Therefore the new accompanied sims may or may not activate properly thru BB. You can use the old sim right away by inserting into the new phone or can call Tmo CSR to activate the new sim and transfer your phone over.

Summarily, this promo is very nice and appreciative from where I stand. Previously, the BB rep wasn't able to access my acct due to being categorized as Tmo business. I believe Tmo give it a green light for this promo.

Good luck everyone.
