It isn't marketed as being PS5 compatible, but it's marketed speed is close enough to Sony's recommendation that some will give it a go. My only intent was to offer my anecdotal experience.

In a nutshell: it should never bottleneck on you. Just make sure you have a slim heat sink for the drive itself, if the laptop doesn't blow heat sink cooling air over the area where you will install the NVMe.
