This is real solid price (even though processing taxes should be free) and especially nice since I already use H&R block. Pretty sure the standard pricing, which I paid in full last year, was over $70. Thanks OP!

Since this came up in the previous thread and since it's confusing "Deluxe + State" means it will do Federal prep and one State prep, and then also comes with free federal e-file. Additional state e-file is another $20, or you can print and mail.

It's pretty ridiculous. They pretend they're saving you 35 dollars for the state software. The combo is usually around $20. Quite a laugher.

State e-file available for 19.95 dollars (state e-file not available in NH and fees do not apply to NY state returns)

Historically I have always just used Credit Karma tax, or another free service as I didn't have any deductions, or anything complicated.

October of last year my wife and I bought a house. So now I think things might be a bit more confusing.

Would buying this help me out at all compared to the free services? Or should I pay a tax professional to help me this year, so I can have an idea of what I should be doing for next year?
