The slowest speed is super quiet, perfect for those hot summer days. It is made in china if anyone was wondering.

They're for different purposes really.

The Vornado is for pushing lots of air at once to regulate room temperature, while this is a more traditional fan to keep those sitting in front of it cool, not that it can't regulate room air as well.

The rowenta can also move a good amount of air while staying really quiet, which I really wanted for my home theater room which used to be in a sun room that got both hot and cold depending on the time of year.

A strong Vornado on high can probably move more air, but it would also be a lot louder.

The rowenta can still move a good amount of air on higher settings too, though

I'm so use to paying 20-30 for table top fan. Not to sound stupid but are these worth it compared to a typical oscillating fan?

Why are there so many people in this thread that LOVE these fans? It just strikes me as odd to see it, especially in a staff posted deal.

Not sure about this price, as in what I paid, but the fan without the remote is fantastic. The ultra low speed has a light in night light, but easily covered by a shirt or a sock. Even on high (super powerful), it's not that loud. I highly recommend this fan.

I have had brand of fan for six years and it is the most quiet then a lot of commercial grade fans I am by no means either but I'm thinking about buying a second one for no good reason except for I fear not finding a deal this good again on such a high quality item like I said there's a reason people all of her super quiet and remove three times more air then the crap Walmart fans

I've had this fan for a few years in our toddler room. It's been a great fan. Easy to disassemble to clean blades.

Just a guess, most of the people commenting are because they bought the fan on prior Slickdeals years ago, and because it's a great fan.

If you need a fan for Home office where you need enough air without any noise especially on Zoom calls, this Fan is a way to go..!! I tried Vornado and Pelonis Silent fans but they are way lauder than advertised.. happy with Rowenta from last 1 year

I ordered this fan and it is coming on Thursday. Mainly trying it out at the home office and if it works well I will move to our main office and use it in the summer. Air movement while staying silent is very important when on calls all day.

Good guess! Another guess might be it's a shill post getting complimented by many people using a second account created mainly for this purpose. I always make it a point to check a commenter's rep score. The site created this feature so one could discern suspicious users who have earned minimal scores. As an example, one who has only earned 8 reps in a nearly 10 year time frame. I mean we're given 10 reps just for signing up!

This looks like a fan from the 60s. Who needs a desk fan to blow this much air? I've never owned nor have i ever seen a "noisy" fan. The little sound that it makes while moving air feels like grey noise.

Yea I have a couple dc vornados that we're well worth the $100 each. I could've installed a ceiling fan for the same price but these fans can move. They're eerily silent at low-mod speeds. Super powerful on high. I would like to see a battle between rowenta and vornado.
