Feed the poor people beans?!!! How about some STEAK.

Years ago it used to be the in-store was less, because they got you into the store and you'd most likely spend more once there. Now, it's no rhyme, no reason, just whims of theirs or else as per their algorithms.
They have real issues. Then there is the 24"x24"x24" thin cardboard box they used to ship a item weighing 2 lbs and measuring 8"x18"x18"...and no packing whatsoever; box was left by FedEx crushed under the weight of another heavier box. Rising prices and poor work ethic seem to be the way these days.
BTW, OP, thanks for the post!

100% agree and it is across the whole spectrum of businesses now, from my dealings and what I've seen!
I recently had to argue with AMAZON for over an hour and talk to 6 csr, & 3 Supervisors and 3 (dropped aka disconnected calls) to get a situation of their making, from a December Christmas order never delivered! Thankfully I have always been a fighter for the right versus wrong in life!

You may want to talk to your local food bank about what they want. Some prefer beans because they have a long shelf life and are full or protein. Some prefer the steak, but only if it's fresh and you can get it there following all health standards.
And very few poor people ask or dream of beans. SMH.
But not any kind of steak.... fresh steak.
I guess no one told you, the best stakes r just before they turn bad. A wealthy restaurant owner, when he shops for himself, trys to only buy the discounted meats claiming ho much better they taste.
