OD/OM has had the Western Digital Blue SN550 NVMe Internal Solid State Drive, 500GB, WDBA3V5000ANC-WRSN for $43 for months.. Also has the 1TB for $84..

This was OOS already? I've been looking at this drive for the last couple days and it's been OOS. At least directly on BB.

This is SN550. WD replaced the NAND with cheaper slower NAND last summer. This is widely known. I bought these SN550 from Newegg in September and luckily it shows DOM (date of manufacture) May 2021. If yours was made in July 2021 or later it has slower NAND. At this point it's likely. Buyer beware.

I show some in stock on line and in store. Shipping is free on $45, so you would have to find a $3 filler, or have spent more than $500 within the lasy year (if you have been doing the bateries deal each month you should be there.)..

I would opt for the 1TB for $84 any way.. 500gb is kind of small these days..

On another post there was the SN570 for a few bucks more and is faster. There seems to be consensus that the ssd prices are falling, so If you can wait, even just a few weeks, there prices will go lower yet..
