The sony also just beats out LG for image quality so not sure what you mean. Side by side screens really show how crushed LG is compared and upscaling is also much better as well as calibration out of the box.

I've been eyeing the A80J 77" and it's a pretty good deal for $2608. If anyone is willing to share a screenshot where it says 10% off? I'm hoping I can use that to chat with Amazon support so they can honor it. Thanks in advanced.
- 3yr Sony warranty
- Add'l 2yr Allstate warranty
- Add'l 2yr Costco Visa warranty if you buy with the credit card
- Whatever credit card rewards you can apply
- potentially 2% Costco executive rewards
- 10 free Sony Bravia CORE movie credits

The A80J everywhere else has:

- 5 free Bravia CORE movie credits

Did you end up going with any extended warranty or do you have any concerns w/burn in ?
on your Vizio soundbar - I had similar issues with one I got last fall. It turns out there is updated firmware that can be installed via USB drive which has made a huge difference. May be worth checking it out!

Thanks for the soundbar tip! I actually did do that and even replaced the HDMI cable with a new HDMI 2.1 cable but it still happens unfortunately. It's only about once every week or two so not a big deal.

They don't do it per policy. But there's flexibility (and more with supervisor approval).
But I've found the phone support to be more responsive than chat since they can't multi-task and they want you off the line.
If Costco would shave another $100 or $200 off I'd go ahead and bite the bullet.

My issue is still whether I need to go for the extended warranty and which version is best. BestBuy's Geeksquad for 5 yrs is $625 - but covers accidental burn in and seems to be the least hassle (Assuming BB exists).
Costco's warranty being included in the price for the Allstate/Squaretrade is appealing but does not cover burn in. Amazon's Asurion warranty doesn't say either way but appears to not based on reviews / feedback on the plan details - at a cost of $189 I assume it doesn't.
This is by far the most expensive TV I'd be buying and maybe I'm overthinking the warranty... the internet has me freaked about screen burn in on these things! Anyone else struggling with this or am I just paranoid!

Can believe the little troll has crapped this thread up with his bullshit claim.
