If you have the Costco credit card, this warranty becomes 7 years

Neither of those statements are true. Only thing the C1 has going for it is VRR. The 77" panel of the A80J Is an evo panel that's unlocked so it's brighter than the 55" or 65" models. The 77" C1 is evo supposedly but software locked.

The sony also just beats out LG for image quality so not sure what you mean. Side by side screens really show how crushed LG is compared and upscaling is also much better as well as calibration out of the box.

I'm happy with my 55 inch. Great TV. It does turn on by itself sometimes. Very weird.
I have this issue as well with the 77". Not a deal breaker though.

The price is reasonable for what's on the market. The picture quality, color, sound, and ease/smoothness of operation are on point.

Maybe it's a Sony thing… my PlayStations turn on for no reason. But so do my Dyson Fans….. just random.

Fricken aliens maybe! Haha

Debating this as well. I can pick up the Costco locally which is nice. There is the warranty which you mentioned, and Costco also has a 90 day return policy for TVs. So if they drop the price in the next 90 days you can submit a price match request or just return and rebuy.
A lot of credit cards offer this too for free.
My capital one will adjust up to $500 for 90 days.
If you buy from Costco they will only match their model, which is different than this one. Same tv different sku

I'm logged in and the seller and shipper are both Amazon.com but the only options I have with my Amazon prime store card are the 12 no interests monthly payments or the 5% back.

I've been eyeing the A80J 77" and it's a pretty good deal for $2608. If anyone is willing to share a screenshot where it says 10% off? I'm hoping I can use that to chat with Amazon support so they can honor it. Thanks in advanced.
I put a screen shot when I first posted it

Amazon won't price match from purchase in December. Considering ordering and then returning the new one. Thoughts? Is that too horrible a thing to do?
That's a dicey idea. The pickup team should check serial number on the unit and decline to haul away if there's not a match to order.

I'm pretty sure the Bravia Core credits and streaming are the same regardless of where you buy
Costco comes with more. It's on the box and their website

I looked on the Amazon site just now. It's directly underneath the price where it says "select % back at checkout to get 10% back on your Amazon prime credit"

I have both. The SONY is way better image quality than LG, apparently video processing is much better.
Also, I don't like LG's OS and the pointer remote.
Sony finally made some good TVs at close to reasonable price. This is one of them.

I don't like buying big ticket items from Amazon though. This TV was $1798 at Costco two months ago. Unless you really want it now, why not wait for another sale at Costco, or BestBuy?

I've compared them as has rtings.
Is Sony better yes, was it "way better" no not really.
As you can tell rtings felt the same way.

I do agree now that Sony is dropping the price closer to LG's makes it easier to pick Sony.

It's been $1800 before without cash back and I think $1500 at post exchanges for military so it's good price wise. It's a near perfect TV except they haven't enabled VRR and auto low latency by firmware yet and who knows if they will.
