I think you quoted the wrong comment. Fortunately, I can answer your question. I order online, and have had to do an exchange on two separate occasions.
The first pair I ever bought from them was too small, which I would imagine happens quite often with them, so I had to size up. These were wool runners.
The second time I exchanged was because the color was too white. They were the Tree Skippers (Chalk), which I don't even see on their site anymore. You could not take two steps outside without them getting dirty. So I exchanged them for a different color.
As someone up thread said, the lighter colors do pickup dirt very easily. The good thing is that you can throw them in the washing machine.
Every foot is different and that's why you have to go through trial period to find a shoe that fits well and is comfortable for the individual.
Point in case: both me and my wife ordered a pair in December. I loved the fit and comfort, but these just wouldn't work for my wife (comfort/support).
