Be careful about Newegg rebates. I bought a MSI laptop which had a bad mousepad ground. So at random your mouse pointer would jump around the screen. It took me a while to realize it wasn't a software driver issue. With luck I did not mail in the rebate or did I claim the free $400 Intel software (garbage) packages that came packed with my purchase as it would have reduced my money back for the refund. Do NOT cut up the box to mail in rebate as you cannot return any defective items to Newegg when the UPC code is cut out. I was lucky enough to test my machine out, find a fault, and get the full refund when RMA it.

Got the similar version (456, QHD screen, better color display, lower refresher rate).

Very sturdy, performance laptop. So far I like it very much. Some cons you might need to know before you buy:
- fan noise, the thermal management is great, but the fan sound is very loud
- it's not light, the thermal management put a lot of metal parts, like copper thermal tubes in it
- no type c port, this is the worst one I suppose
- all ports are located on its back, which is not good for my standing laptop deck

Other than that, it's great, and I know some high tech company use MSI laptop: as their engineering needs, so highly recommend it.

Yeah since most laptops don't have a display port, I use mine for USB-C to Display port to get Freesync speeds on my external monitor. I didn't think about using power banks to charge through the USB-C port on laptops, does that work?
