As an Indian I can confirm that unless you're planning to operate a restaurant kitchen, 1LB of this is not ideal. Buy your spices fresh in smaller batches

McCormick does sell the curry powder in a 1.75-oz size[amazon.com] for $3.91 w/ S&S.
But the 1-lb (16-oz) size for $6.65 is clearly the better deal.

A friend of mine bought it and tortured me to make curry chicken 😅

So true. I cannot imagine using this much since it's used in small amounts to begin with. I have discarded so many small bags of curry powder over the years.
As an Indian and an avid cook, I struggle to understand who uses this stuff in actual Indian cooking. I have had stuff made from this powder but trust me it is not Indian food. if you really want to make Indian food without the effort, go to your local Kroger and get one of the Indian sauces in a jar and add your protein/vegetables to it.
No avid cook would suggest anyone use premade simmering sauces over legit curry powder involved recipes

Also, I see this is Amazon's #1 best seller in category "curry powders."
