Just saw this deal is back, this was front page 2.5 Months ago at $150, so now tacking on the inflation the price is not bad at all compared to the normal price of $250.

Who is this mesh for? This mesh is for people who have internet speeds no faster than 500Mbps as the mesh right next to the router maxes out around 600Mbps but on average runs around 500Mbps. This is one of the most entry level wifi 6 mesh systems out there. Who else is this for, people who want larger coverage without necessarily needing bleeding edge performance. The upgrade to wifi 6 on average will improve connections and stability of all your devices, even if you only have wifi 5 gear.

Big things to know, this is dual band so while at the router you can hit around 600Mbps around the satellites you will on average get around 400Mbps right next to them. Will most average household users notice, NOPE. They do offer the option to hard wire them and use the hard wire as backhaul which would raise their speeds to the 500-600Mbps range of the router, for a large majority of people wont even matter cause its not needed. Another thing to do right out of the box, update the firmware immediately cause they fixed a lot of issues with these guys, so if you get a older set it will be extremely out of date and probably not work to well.

So in short if you have 500Mbps internet or slower, and just looking for a cheap way to get benefit of wifi 6 with additional coverage this is probably for you.

Dual band is a deal breaker, unless you can get ethernet backhaul for all 3 units. For this price, you can get a tri band set up with TP Link Deco M9, currently $140 at BH Photo.

But it's not Wifi 6? Not sure how much that matters

Wifi 6 defines the maximum speed/band width/connected devices. For this entry level model, it's far from fulfilling Wifi 6's full power. Either get a higher standard product (Costco has some good deals on higher end Wifi 6 mesh routers now, check SD threads), or get a good Wifi 5 mesh system such as M9 I mentioned above.
