everyone please share link of a 17.3" version of this please?
There is no 17.3 inch model for the Dell G15 lineup, that's why no one is sharing that link. Maybe look at Asus TUF or HP Omen if you want 17.3 inch gaming laptops $1000 and under.
Why is it that these "gaming" laptops only come with 8gigs.
Games themselves dont typically need more than 8 gigs and you aren't multitasking while playing games either. Of all the things to skimp on to keep cost down ram is the obvious choice.
Bestbuy sells the similar one but with Intel core I7 in the store i highly recommend you go see the 120HZ display with the 250 NITS brightness yourself. for this price point it is a great entry level. better than some GTX1650 laptop that sell for about same price. if you want better performance and higher FPS turn off RAY TRACING. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/dell...Id=6473556
I have the intel I7 with RTX 3060 and it has been a great laptop so far. yes very heavy but sturdy built.
Wich is better? i5 11400 or 10500? is it worth it to pay 70$?
11400h vs 10500h seems like a draw for me... But, I'd say it's worth the $50 premium to go for the 3050ti over the 3050. ~8% price bump for a > 8% performance boost.

The 10500 one also comes with a 3050ti but for $50 less than the 11400. So you're saying I should save the $50 since both CPU has same performance?

I ordered one laptop with Dell few month ago. I received the confirmation email, but they keep delay the shipment and ask you to consent the delay of shipment every month. I missed one so eventually they cancelled the order. To be honest, they seems intentionally delayed the shipment to make the credit card deal(5% cash back) expired. The same model were listed as available with higher price while they send me the late delivery notice.

I got one in 3 days. Ordered Monday night, at my door Thursday noon.

Honestly a blessing. The ram dell puts in their lower end machines are terrible. I feel better about throwing away 8gb of shitty ram than 16gb of shitty ram.
Owned the 3050ti 10500 version of this laptop for a few months:
1. Ram upgrade is a must. At least buy another stick of 8gb to make it dual channel. Better to completely replace the ram since it's significantly worse than the normal ram you can buy online.
2. 120hz has terrible response time making it feel more like a 60hz screen. Look up some reviews on it. I wouldn't get this if I was serious about shooters.
3. If you want to buy another nvme for this laptop you need to buy a 15$ mounting bracket. Sucks that dell was too cheap to put in a 1$ piece of metal.
Still a good computer after upgrading the ram.
