My internet provider says I have to have to make sure if I buy a router that it is "dual band lte" anyone know if this would work with my provider?

Internet provider has nothing to do with the router. If you don't know the difference between a modem and a router, I suggest you do some research before purchasing this. This one is router-only. There is no inbuilt modem in it. You'll have to purchase separately depending on your internet provider. Also when you say dual band lte, that doesn't sound like a cable internet. This router will not help there.

First off this is a great basic router for just about anyone. If you can though, I would hold off and get the AX21, the AX20 is known to get really hot and overheat if not properly placed. The main difference between the AX20 vs AX21 is just the plastic casing, they changed it on multiple models cause of the overheating. The AX21 has been around this price through amazon multiple times so you can wait it out. If not get an extended warranty for a quick swap.

So that makes no sense cause routers unless they are coming from T-Mobile or using T-Mobile or Verizon cellphone service do not use LTE.....

Every router made in the last year are all dual band technology the more expensive are tri band technology.

If the company your with provides you a stand alone modem with a ethernet port, looks like a phone jack, then just about any recent router will work for you.

Since you're asking a question like this, perhaps it's best to rely on your ISP to install the equipment and set it up for you. Much less hassle.

What kinda speeds are you averaging? I understand there's many variables to this. My current setup only gets up 80mbps max on 5ghz on a 300mbps service.

I had this router for the past 4 months. Lost internet connection and needed to be reset at least 5 times. One of those times happened while we were on vacation.
It never happened with my Netgear R6700.

I bought two of these and eventually had to return them. They had a tendency to overheat causing thermal resets and really didn't connect well to all of my smart home devices. My downgraded to an older TP Link which solve the problems without any slowdown.

I got 300mbps myself, I'm getting about 260ish depending on the time of day and where I'm at in the house.
