Still waiting to replace my 1TB NVMe SSD I bought four years ago for $69. Samsung, SK Hynix and Micron stop colluding to milk the consumer at 1-2TB kkthx. We are ready to be cheated at 8-128TB.

Everyone has been brainwashed to eat these high prices because xyz reasons. It's easier and cheaper to print ssd NAND memory than make a hard drive yet you don't see those staying stationary at 1-2TB for the past 4 years. This is what collusion looks like.

Bought in October. It was $129.99 and had a $26 coupon. Nice drive and was faster than the 256GB Intel my X380 had. Double checked my order. It was the SK hynix Gold P31 1TB PCIe NVMe Gen3 M.2 2280 Internal SSD

I only have good things to say about SKHynix. I work in local government and our tech staff are certified Dell technicians. They recently had to replace a failed HDD in one of our Dell laptops, and Dell sent us a SKHynix SSD as a replacement. Made me feel validated in my personal SKHynix SSD purchases

For laptops the lower heat and power usage is more noticeable than the speed difference. I upgraded from an SN750 in gen 3 slot to SN850 and gen 4 slot and can't really tell the difference. Both seemed super fast.

I have had this NVME for over a year in my other computer. It didn't have an available m.2 NVME slot so I added a PCI-e adapter card. So far its been solid, no complaints.

Fast, slim and doesn't need a heatsink since it runs so cool.

A definite with a laptop, pretty good still in a desktop. I put the exact same drive in my desktop last year. Fast, cheap and cool. Whats not to like?

I bought this exact ssd during BF last year and it's a great value compared to Samsung. There's been a lot of ssd discounts lately this month, Sabarent 1 TB was $80 which would be a better deal if you were on a budget. And for all the PS5 gamers, no this card is not compatible, get a gen 4 ssd with a heat sink.

Sabrent the better value?

P31 is gen3. The link you linked is gen4. Not many people have gen4 slot yet. Also Samsung gen4 is much better.
