I've tried these, Sony WF-1000MX4, and airpod pros.

In terms of sound quality, I'd rank them 1. Sony, 2. airpod pros, 3. Bose, but Bose and airpod sounds are neck and neck and not far behind the Sonys.

In terms of comfort, I'd rank them 1. airpod, 2. bose, 3. Sony. The Bose are pretty large, but they are comfortable for the size.

In terms of phone call quality, I'd rank them 1. airpod pros, 2. bose, 3. Sony

In terms of noise cancelling, they're all excellent, but a slight edge goes to Sony due to the tight ear tip fit which helps physically seal off any outside noise.

For my personal fit, Bose fit the best by far. Both the airpod pros and Sonys would fall out of my ear if I was talking or chewing and I've tried alternate eartips on both.

Also, I didn't like how phone calls sounded on the Sonys because of the tight, enclosed fit of the ear tips. You can hear yourself talking muffled inside your head - regardless of if you have the aware mode on or off. This tight fit is great for noise cancelling, not so much for phone calls.

The Bose case is almost 2x/3x as big as the airpod pro and Sony case, but it's still compact enough.

You can't go wrong with all 3, but I'd recommend Bose if you've had any issues with fit on the airpod pros or Sonys.

I bought these and the Sony WF-1000MX4. I specifically was looking at ANC performance, and the Sony had a slightly better noise cancellation. The software was better w/ Bose. But a big drawback w the Bose was the size; I could lie down and rest my head on a pillow w/ the Sony but was uncomfortable w/ the Bose.

But for the price, definitely a good deal.

Thanks for the feedback on sleeping comfort. I'll stick with my smaller Jaybird Vistas for now!

It does have multipoint connection. Source: https://www.bose.com/en_us/suppor...ticle.html

I hope this helps,

Just FYI, the bottom of the page on that link says multipoint is not supported just that it stores up to 7 connections but can only connect to 1 at a time.

I can't compare them to the Sonys but I can say they were a close second to my favorite AirPods Pro's. I actually thought they sounded better with also better NC. Only thing I didn't like were the size and how they looked when on my ears.

Great for calls from previous experience with these, but do keep in mind that can only use right earbud by itself at a time, as the left earbud is a slave earbud and cannot use that one independently. This is the only reason I returned these. Otherwise, great earbuds and great ANC

I have both, Sony and Bose. I like Bose better because of the fitment. I tried changing the tips on the Sony but no go. They would always fall out of my ears. Don't have that issue with Bose. Sound wise I like the Bose better too when it comes to NC. Good price.

My opinion after trying both out for a month

Comfort - slight edge bose
ANC - edge Sony
Sound - tie
Size - Sony ( the storage container is tiny)
Battery - Sony
Calls - Sony.
Software - bose

The main driver for me was the call quality. Both were good. But if I stood next to a high speed floor fan, when wearing the Sonys, the person I was talking too had no clue. With the Bose they could hear something.

I wear these when on my riding lawn mower and they do a fantastic job. Similar to the over ear wh-1000xm3

Actually these are not that great for phone calls. It works but the call recipients will get all sorts of background noise, if you are any where in public places. If you get off these things and use the iPhone's built-in speaker and microphone, your call recipients will tell you all the background noise disappeared and it is much better.

I also have xm3 and xm4 along with this Bose and they all have similar issues. These small Ear buds are not that great for calls.

If your primary use is for phone calls get ones with boom mics like Jabra headphones. They are ugly but the microphone performance is excellent.
