Complete trash monitors.

Learn from my experience. Don't waste your hard earned money with Monoprice garbage. I love their cables and other low price stuff but their monitors are terrible. They will actually resell used monitors to see if the user will complain. One of the monitors I got still had someone's oily fingerprints on it.

To their credit, their prepaid RMA process was robust.

I have 3 Viewsonics now to replace my garbage defective 3 monoprice 27" monitors and I was nearly in tears when I saw the difference.

Viewsonic, Dell Ultrasharp, Asus, LG, Samsung you can't go wrong with any of these. Make sure they have a 3 year + warranty. Monoprice stops making the same model every 6-8 months so they will force you to accept a different model even if it's not one you like.

I bought a 32 version of this through Target/Monoprice over a year ago and have been pleased. I believe it's a Samsung VA panel. I'm not sure what panel this is, maybe LG.

Depends on a budget, but pretty much anything is likely going to be better. I tried a couple from Monoprice and returned both, won't bother again. Settled on a Samsung odyssey G5, for $20 more (on sale). It's not the best, but miles better than the monoprice.

Well, now you and several others have convinced me to stay away from these monitors, after having them in my cart for the past couple days but not quite being able to pull the trigger. Guess I'll wait for a reputable brand to be on sale.

Something like the S2721DGF goes on sale once in a while. In fact it's $330 at Dell [dell.com] right now.

My Monoprice DIED yesterday. Just under 6 y/o. First time a monitor ever died on me in 40+ yrs of computing (usually outgrew a monitor & repurposed it). Still have older, other brand monitors that work just fine.

Won't buy Monoprice again.

I did that as well. I am fairly happy with purchase. Call it a B+ for value. I think I paid like $280 and for that price it is a steal for this amount of real estate. If I was up around $350 which is retail, probably not so much. Colors are great, but can occasionally seem a bit washed out in certain applications. If anyone knows how to get this above 100mhz refresh and their fake HDR (both of which I've read can allegedly be done) drop a note in this thread. I've read a few articles, they don't work, and I let it go.

As much as I love monoprice, it seems to make more sense to spend a bit more and get a more established brand on sale. 🤷

The 32" LG VA 165hz 2k monitor is going back on sale at costco for $250 in February. Very good for the price.

Here is the previous listing and it was popular then.

FYI on the HDMI cables from Monoprice. Apparently, they are now low quality these days: https://youtu.be/XFbJD6RE4EY go to 8:03
