Learn from my experience. Don't waste your hard earned money with Monoprice garbage. I love their cables and other low price stuff but their monitors are terrible. They will actually resell used monitors to see if the user will complain. One of the monitors I got still had someone's oily fingerprints on it.
To their credit, their prepaid RMA process was robust.
Viewsonic, Dell Ultrasharp, Asus, LG, Samsung you can't go wrong with any of these. Make sure they have a 3 year + warranty. Monoprice stops making the same model every 6-8 months so they will force you to accept a different model even if it's not one you like.

Best to wait for a decent deal on brand name with good warranty and buy that for a few $ more. Monitor is a very personal product used daily so it's important to get something good.
5 months after I settled for 5+ dead pixels in middle of monitor, one of the monitors began to bleed red. Had to turn monitor on and off constantly to reset it. Vowed never again Monoprice.
They offered to RMA but couldn't give me the same monitor as they didn't product or carry it anymore. Now I would have a non-matched 27" of a completely different spec as my replacement. I begrudgingly kept my defect 27" bleeder and dealt with it for 3 more years until SD blessed me 3x 27" IPS 144hz viewsonics (3 year warranty!) for $275 each from Amazon before COVID-19.

I've given my experience. Good luck with MP monitors. You're not saving much.

I've always had a problem with the DP connection on them. I can't get them to boot up without being unplugged from the cpu. I plug then in after 5 seconds of power on to the cpu and no problem. I have to put my computer to sleep, if I turn it off I have to unplug them in order to get the cpu to turn on again. What a hassle wish I kept my viewsonic order from Amazon around BF.
This is a great video that I hadn't seen yet. Thanks!

I've had this monitor and I have their 35 inch zero g UW currently. They are good enough. If you have the money and have a sharp enough eye to notice the difference in performance then I guess you have to spend that extra $. For the rest of us these are great every day compromise monitors.
