The rep seem to be aware of (or perhaps found out after seeing the live subsciption region) what I was trying to do, and he didn't seem to mind to help. He basically cancelled the live and game pass subscriptions, charged me a dollar for GPU, and then added 35 months individually. Whole call took a while though, 30 minutes.
Since this didn't work for me smoothly this time, when I have to renew I probably will just find some US or global live codes instead (if they still have live by then)
Didn't really expect that Xbox Live Gold scratch card to even work since it's been laying around for the last 6+ years, but lo and behold the code still worked. What's crazy is that I've offered that card to several people over the last few years and they always turned it down because they all had Game Pass already. Never knew these could be redemed and converted.
