The GOOD:
It can be upgraded to Android 12.. this is actually AMAZING. The new picture in picture feature is the best.
It has a Pen (my Tab S7 has a pen, I have never used it).
The BAD:
1. The CPU/GPU is considered a LOW BUDGET experience.
Average Benchmarks Samsung Exynos 9611 → 100% n=9
Average Benchmarks Mediatek MT8183 → 106% n=9
Average Benchmarks Samsung Exynos 9610 → 103%
I compared this the Fire HD10 and it shows that the Fire HD10 CPU/GPU is about 6% faster (Note book check). Not sure if the Tab S6 Lite used the 9611 or the 9610... different websites say different things.
2. I don't know when the end of life of updates are... but... Released on May 05, 2020. So three years is May 5, 2023. The Lenovo 10e will get OS and security updates until June 2028.
The real question is... Should you get this tablet or the Lenovo Chromebook Tablet 10e for $99?
There are some real advantages of a Chromebook Tablet and some disadvantages.
Disadvantages and Advantages
. Chrome runs Android 9 32bit under the Chrome OS...... Tab S6 Lite runs Android 12 64bit.
. Android 12 Picture in Picture is great! But you can do stuff like this as well with Chrome but I have not tried it yet. .
. Tab S6 lite Will run more Android apps... like Call of Duty (only runs on a 64bit OS), launcher apps such a Nova launcher... but both tablets will run 99% of the same Android apps.
I personally like both tablets... but realize that the Tab S6 Lite is SLOWER (practically the same speed) then a Fire HD10 or the Lenovo Chromebook Tablet 10e.
I feel there is a larger learning curve to use a Chromebook, but it is obviously doable. And with a Chromebook tablet you have access to 1. The Chromebook Store and 2. Linux.
