Wifi would be a nice feature because you can say, Alexa make some ice ice baby and the machine will start creating ice. My $300 ice maker does not have this feature, every morning I have to go downstairs to press the make ice button like a peasant, then wait 20 min for first batch of ice in order to use them. Would be nice if I can set an automated command to turn it all every morning so by the time I'm awake, I'll have a fresh batch of ice to use.

Your HDMI 2.0 joke is cringely af though, like, I can't even force an lol out of it. It's so bad it's making Amy Schumer funny
Do yourself a favor and ONLY use distilled water in this. I've gone through a few of the previous models of these and it's worth it.
If you're at home an average amount of time, and the only beverage you like is ICE water, break the price up over what you're already saving a month or year.

When people rework their kitchens, they drop hundreds and sometimes thousands to get specific things that look a certain way or not.

We have a professional ice maker at the office that constantly cycles/drains and the ice there is head over heels better than the ice in my new refrigerator (which is good).

There's lots of reasons to splurge on something like this that is nicer than what you currently have.

The trick is to only get something like this once and a while and not every day.

Nice. I bought my gf one last week. Yes it's very expensive, but does feeling fancy really have a price?

I feel bad about myself that I wish I could afford something as unapologetically bougie as a $500 countertop Ice maker Frown

Picked up one of these for Christmas for my parents. They absolutely love it. Picked up the side tank for $70 off Amazon so they don't have to mess with taking the tray out to fill water. They don't use the Alexa commands but I have the app scheduled to start making the ice an hour before they wake up so that works great! Very expensive machine but saves them from going to Sonic all the time for the good crunchy ice.

this is a byproduct of the water. reverse osmosis water with no minerals added back will give you clear ice cubes. not the healthiest thing though

For what it is worth I purchased one of these last year and put it on my kitchen counter. Our home setup is a large great room....I say that because the one I had developed a high pitched squeal when making ice. It became so annoying I asked for an RMA, took 3 months. Received the refurbished one and it was worse. Eventually I ended up returning it. Really did love the ice it made though.
