Would love something like this in M.2 NVME at this price. Want to get rid of my SATA drives.

IMO Amazon is always better for electronics deals than Newegg.
That wouldn't be an opinion. It's either a fact or it's not

It is not

Quote from Jesse :
Newegg generates a shipping label for all sales immediately so orders can't be canceled if a better deal comes up, and makes returns/replacements time-consuming and costly to discourage them.
Nah. Nothing you've typed is true

I made an order last week and the tracking number was created a day later and I can also see it was shipped out then. If I want to return it I will and for free

You aren't very helpful

Still waiting to replace my 1TB NVMe SSD I bought four years ago for $69. Samsung, SK Hynix and Micron stop colluding to milk the consumer at 1-2TB kkthx. We are ready to be cheated at 8-128TB.

Everyone has been brainwashed to eat these high prices because xyz reasons. It's easier and cheaper to print ssd NAND memory than make a hard drive yet you don't see those staying stationary at 1-2TB for the past 4 years.
Apparently you think "everyone" buys niche products

If that were true they wouldn't keep halving or removing the dram without telling us and chopping the prices down making people think they got a good deal on the 1TB drives

Transparency is non existent. And only Samsung, Crucial and a couple others sell complete drives anymore. WD flat out names them very similar names and colors so you won't realize your mistake

Digitimes: Samsung new NAND flash capacity coming online in 2H21 may worsen price falls.

All the downvotes to your post prove that the world is full of wannabe tech industry pundits (who probably work in IT departments and love spending other people's money). They love coming up with a thousand reasons why old technology is still costly to make just cuz.

I second this. Unless you're using these for cold storage (in which case, go shuck a 18tb drive), then avoid the QVO series. The TBW lifespan is appalling (half) compared to the EVO series and the price difference is typically nominal.
You make a good point, but I think there's a reasonable middle ground. For big creative projects when I want reasonable SSD speed, in a 2.5" form factor for drive bay cartridge loading, this can serve as a long-term storage drive that moots the low TBW rating, while kicking into higher gear than a traditional hard drive whenever the project needs to fire up (only occasionally). So maybe the QVO series is actually ideal for content creators.

I'm about to pull the trigger on the 4tb but haven't bought anything from Newegg in a few years. Any reason not to and why you'd prefer Amazon/ BB to price match?
I bought laptop ram recently from Newegg, didn't want it (cause the timings were slow on my system), and got a full refund and free return shipping, no problems.

I've never had an issue with Newegg but YMMV.

The downvotes are cause he posts the same crap in every single SSD/NVME thread.

I think it's time to take the plunge on the 8TB. Should be great for storage of 4k video clips and hi-res photos
Are you high? The promo code doesn't apply and so the 8TB is a terrible deal.

To return the RAM I bought from Newegg, I printed a pre-paid shipping label and dropped it of at UPS. Not sure why that's costly and time consuming?

I would never buy a QLC NAND SSD (at least for OS), my TLC Crucial MX500 just corrupted and became unbootable (Inaccessible boot device BSOD) after less than 1 year of use. MLC or nothing for me.
What makes you suspect the cell count in causing the fail to boot?

1. You paid for that label. Newegg took the cost of it from your refund. Amazon doesn't do that.
Your info is outdated and wrong. Anyone can sell on Amazon and overcharge whatever they want and you'll maybe never know what for.

And the only reason I've ever needed to return anything to Newegg is if it's defective and exchanged. Which they don't charge for

Now back in the free year of premier days we could return a component because we didn't like the color

Quote from Jesse :
2. You dropped it off at your expense. Amazon sends UPS to your front door for free.
So now you're down to calculating the fuel costs, oil changes, tolls and bus passes it took? I always drop my stuff at the fabric store (a UPS drop spot) on the way to my friend's house and there's cute employees to flirt with it's not so bad

I Pc build to win at my budget. Newegg is just one of many tools in the belt

In for 4 x 1TB. Thanks OP!
I would think for the extra few bucks you might as well get a EVO. $117 after gift card VS $97.50 fore the QVO.

Besides being more expensive I feel the EVO is meant to have a longer hard drive life (I would like other opinions). Difference is $20 per drive.

And don't forget to add... that we are always able to get that Amazon driver to move a piece of furniture (bed, stove, fridge....) FOR FREE, and that is another reason to only buy from Amazon.
