Costco members can get the new, brighter Philips Hue A19 4-pack for $30 off through February 21, for a total cost of $119. These are relatively new, and I recall them going on sale briefly for this price around Christmas. Definitely not as good as the brief Lowe's blowout yesterday, but more widely available.

I have a lot of hue products as well as a lot of other home automation in place. The consistency of performance and quality of light justifies the premium price. In my experience, the performance of the hue family of products is premium in every way and yes, this is a great deal for 4 color 75W equivalent bulbs.
In short, people who need to get their eyes checked. Hue bulbs cost more than the competition for a reason. The only reason sales are becoming so much more frequent is because the competition is increasing over time.

Do any competitors sync like they do?
The simple app and ability to sync with other hardware and software is where Hue shines. My whole house is synched up with dimmer switches, sensors and routines that I have set up. It's seamless and very user-friendly.

I should also add that their standard 60w bulbs used to go for $50 each.

Hues are decent bulbs but are simply no longer competitive for the asking price in today's landscape.
I use Sync by GE and have zero issues. Lowe's had them on clearance last month. I only wish they made the larger flood light bulbs.
I have those too and would gladly pay the premium for hue strips every time
