I just want everyone to know, this cpu does NOT support PCIE gen 4 SSDs. Using this cpu in a build with a 3080. Killer performance for 2k gaming. Real unfortunate about the pcie, wish I knew that when I bought a 5000mbps drive.

Was waiting for this deal to be back. Last time the price was this low was during Thanksgiving 2021. Now deciding between this and 5700G

I think I snagged 5700G at $270.

(8/6)*$200 = $267 so at $250 you can't really go wrong.

5600x is $240 too. 5600g has pretty good integrated graphics if you are waiting for GPU prices to stabilize a little bit.

Also MC has 10% memory, SSD Cases, PSUs and Monitors, might finally build a new PC

I just want everyone to know, this cpu does NOT support PCIE gen 4 SSDs. Using this cpu in a build with a 3080. Killer performance for 2k gaming. Real unfortunate about the pcie, wish I knew that when I bought a 5000mbps drive.

You needed a newer mobo for that too? I'm just now learning about this today. Something about more lanes

I don't think any of the mobos I mess with have this anyway

Yes! Since I don't game at all, I think the igpu should be sufficient. It should be able to handle Photoshop and some light video editing every once in a while, right?

Wow great post. I ordered this from Amazon for $242 a couple weeks ago. They dropped the price $20 so I reordered and will return the first one. Wish there was a microcenter in Sacramento area!

Looking to throw the 5600G into kid's Roblox/Minecraft B450 computer and sell the RX580 while it's worth the same price as this CPU. In a couple years when they want to play more demanding games maybe the market will be better. If it's not, bye bye DIY PC market.
