Wired controllers make sense because they dont require batteries. The cable allows for direct connection to devices for fast rates and zero interference. You can do more than just remember your NES controllers, you can USE them unlike PS/Switch Pro/Xbox etc controllers which will have inflated or dead lithium batteries in 5-15 years.

Idk if it's just you, but there is a market. I have no issues with wires. No charging, no battery, no connectivity issues. I don't find the wires annoying either. My problem lies with how junky most aftermarket controllers are. Anyone use Power A switch controllers before? Is this a little brother controller?

They make sense if you look at cost. A wireless controller is filled with batteries, radios and other tech that even Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo have to pay royalties on.

While I agree that the convenience of sitting on a couch and not having to worry about the cord is usually worth the extra cost... wireless controllers typically cost more than new games. Nintendo charges $70 for their 1st party controller. Sony charges $75. WTF bro.

They also don't get lost nearly as easily.

I bought this one last week. Its light, which makes it feel cheap... but it is totally worth $12. There are 3rd party wireless controllers on sale for around $30 at the moment, but i am upset at the number of controllers in my home. 4 PS3 controllers, 1 broken wireless PC controller, 5 PS4 controllers (3 DS4, 1 fight stick, 1 wired), 1 pair of joycons and now this wired switch controller. This is to say nothing of the PS2 controller, 3 N64 controllers and 2 dreamcast controllers sitting in boxes.... or the Rock Band guitars/drums/keyboard, DDR dance mat, 4 PS3/PSVR move controllers and two HTC Vive wands. At this point I have more controllers than shoes, pairs of underwear or steak knives.

It makes little sense to pay $70 for a nintendo controller which probably won't even work with the new console (which i presume is ~2 years away)
