Meanwhile people are getting insane $20 last minute cruise deals while the ships sail at half capacity lol. Depending on your view of the state of the pandemic, it's either the best time or the dumbest thing to get on a cruise right now.
I took a cruise the week before Thanksgiving and it was nothing short of incredible. I felt like they took adequate measures to keep the ship clean and their passengers safe. I felt a lot safer knowing that everyone also tested negative before getting on the ship.

I did one the end of September and another Thanksgiving weekend. Thinking of jumping on one of the free or $20 deals for the Spring.
Where are these $20 Cruises I'm hearing about. That's basically free.
You can find them pretty easily. It's not really free because with transportation, drinks, meal upgrades, etc you will end up spending plenty of money. Cruises are a poor man's vacation. If that's all up can afford and you think it's fun, then go enjoy!

So while I didn't mean literally free, compared to the $500-2k one would typically pay, it is very close. Just trying to figure out where to get them.
For me, its as follows:
Transportation: Negligible as I live close to a hub
Drinks: Don't drink alcohol
Meal Upgrades: Unnecessary as the normal dinner and 100 buffet options suffice
Good deal. Though there's no rush. You can use the allstate rewards app (no need to be a member) to get points and buy cards for 10% off whenever. There's an Allstate rewards thread on the cruise critics forum that shares codes to get points.
Any chance you can link that thread? I've been searching that forum but can't find it for Carnival.

browse from the most recent post and go backwards trying out all the codes users post until allstate starts saying the codes are expired or don't work. I got so many points in a few months that I haven't needed to keep up with it for a year or two, but that was my routine back then.
