Question is will firmware updates for the hikvision work with this Annke? This is a fairly new camera and there's probably firmware bugs to work out.
Those ipcamtalk guys really talk down on the likes of Annke because they claim you can't update the firmware. I don't know if that's true. There's a guy in here name Matt that used to provide good cameras info that was reliable.

Sweet! a 1/1.2" sensor camera!
Looks like a nice set of specs ..
From Annke's description:
"The PoE camera offers unparalleled 4K clarity with the pioneering 1/1.2″ STARVIS CMOS sensor. This flagship sensor captures the most authentic colors in every frame, every time. The 2.8 mm lens with an ultra-wide 124° diagonal angle covers a lot of objects, perfect for monitoring large areas."
fwiw: a number of ipcamtalk members really liked the Annke cube camera awhile back .. the issue was Annke's firmware was out of date and you'd need to update the firmware by going through multiple steps to get it up to the current firmware ( there was a internet attack exploit for the original firmware Annke had in the cameras )
Annke - as a brand, I have seen some real poor products in the past under their brand, they seem to be doing better now .. I would definitely consider this camera .. nice 1/1.2" sensor .. very nice
I think this cam is the same/very similar to the Hikvision DS-2CD2087G2-LU. You may be able to update the firmware with Hikvision's. You can with various other models. But Hikvision has been making that harder to do in recent years so not necessarily guaranteed.
One catch with all of these night-color cams is that even for the best cams you still need to have enough visible light to make them work well. Generally, that will mean light other than that from the cam.
Relying only on the on-cam illuminators doesn't work nearly as well for a variety of reasons. But the good news is that you don't need a lot to make them look great. With a similar Dahau cam I use a dimmable 150-watt equivalent LED flood that I have to turn down to about 10% or it's really too much light.
