If you have a time machine, you can get this desktop for $399.

edit: A refurb of the i3-10100 machine goes for $398 on the Dell website

I'm not gaming and am not concerned about the gpu. Where can I get that desktop new for $299 now?

$80 Motherboard
$150 CPU
$30 RAM
$42 SSD
$39 HD
$40 case
$40 PSU
$15 W10
$15 KB+M
$461 total in parts and software.

Motherboards and video cards are a little expensive now, but everything else is pretty "normal" right now.

Tons of similar spec systems on eBay, (GPU pulls).

At the bare minimum you'll need an SSD. I would also much rather have a core i5 for longer term performance capabilities. But half price is half price and if those specs work for you, that's obviously better.

The Dell version doesn't have the 1TB hard drive, the Office Depot does for $20 more.

This really a deal...?? doesn't seem like much with the Dell and similar systems for $650-$700 that have a decent GPU too. Just seems like an okay price at best.

edit: oops, looking at OD posts and didn't notice this was already almost a week old
