There is a project called "AAWireless" but it's backordered on shipping due to chip shortages. It's $99 or was at the time anyway.(*update* Price says $85 but I think after shipping it was $100)...was gonna use it to upgrade my android auto head unit which is wired so I could keep oneplus warp charging. The people who have received their units appear to be happy with them.

I ordered before. I have an IPhone 13pro and a kia Telluride, I have restart my phone every time I want to use the wireless car play.

For people who've used this device: I'm curious how one would manage having two people who share one car, and both might want to use carplay at times? Is there graceful handling of switching between devices, or is this really only practical for a one-phone-per-car situation? That's the only thing keeping me on the fence.

There is a phone selection that pops up before it starts carplay. If you leave it alone it will select the first phone

I have a iphone 13 pro and a 2021 toyota sienna, it connects everytime. My only complaint is the cell coverage. It has to have a decent cell reception to get the best connection. Once it does it works good. Make sure the firmware on yours is up to date too. Might help.

I wonder if this works with an aftermarket radio that has wired CarPlay. Anyone know?

This is the one I just ordered a few days ago for my Android Auto:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09PQ95GY4

It was just recently released so it keeps going in/out of stock. Mine is scheduled to arrive next week.

Mine stopped working after 2 weeks. Unit became defective. Returning to lightinthebox is a pain in the ass as it needs to be shipped back to China.

As of now, I'm waiting for the product to get back to China and to get reimbursed for shipping it back + Refund

I bought from them the last time this was on sale. Shipping took longer than normal, but it got here eventually. And my email receipt shows the full price, not the sale price. But the sale price is what as charged to my PayPal. So all good I guess.

Only big caveat is they only offer a 7 day return policy from date of receipt (30 days if broken or defective) and it must be in "brand new condition". So make sure you want one before ordering.

FWIW, I use this with an iPhone 12 in a 2021 Dodge Challenger, and it works great. Only negative is connection time is inconsistent. Sometimes it connects instantly. Sometimes it takes a minute or so. Only an issue when I want to put in nav directions right when I get in the car. Waiting for it to connect can be annoying.

Does t the Kia telluride already have wireless CarPlay? Why would you need this device?

The Motorola MA1 dongle sold out instantly too.
