8000F owner here. They're good speakers. These are solid prices for Klipsch. I wouldn't pay much more.

I want to share with all just HOW BAD the PIANO BLACK finish is on these!! They are a disaster! Trust me on this. I purchased (2) pairs last year. They come from the Chinese factory with ZERO QC on the Piano black finish. It is FULL of All kinds of Factory defects and blemishes which include Swirl marks all over it and Spider circles/veins all over from the automated buffing they are using on these. When I spoke to the owner of Acoustic Sound Design about them he was at least very honest with me after I sent him the pictures of the 8000's and told me, " There all like that!" from the ones he has seen.

If your ok with all this and know that the finish when you look into it with a light will look like this then your fine, but if you expect the Piano black to look "perfect" the way it does with an SVS or Def Technologies product, then you will be real upset and pi$$ed at the total lack of QC from the factory on the Piano finish.

I would give "B" stock at BEST to any 8000 or 8060 Piano black finish speaker. Also, keep in mind the 8060's are huge and even more surface area for them to screw up at the factory. Again, if your ok with "B" stock look, then you will be fine with it as they obviously sound and work just fine and the price point is good as well. They are at this price point for a reason, years ago the Piano black speakers would sell at a huge premium because they were finished/buffed by hand. Well, not any more, it's done on a machine now automated at the overseas factory and however it ends up looking , that;s what they ship, there is ZERO QC on these for the finish. If for some reason someone does not believe me, even thou, I should not have to prove myself with my status on here, I have a ton of pictures I can post up and then it will be apparent as to why I took the time to give all a heads up!

I was wondering why the piano was so much discounted. Will see when I get them. Also since no store has them around me I didn't test these before ordering...I did contact acqustic and they said they follow amazon return policy...so, will see. I hope I wont regret buying them.

Looking for the RP-404C in PB, seems they are still $550 which is more than the RP-504C. 504C's won't fit my cabinet (necessary for WAF).

Whats the best sub to go with 8000fs? SPL150 or SPL120? Wonder why the SPL120 shows as powered and SPL150 not, arent they both (on klipsch system build)

I bought 2 RP-8000f for fronts, 1 center Rp-504C, side surround 2 RP-500SA , rear surround 2 RP-600M and front and rear elevation RP-500SA.
I think having another RP-8000f for rear is overkill?

Thoughts? Appreciate your help guys!

I have 8000fs with an SPL-150, it's powered. They pair well.

I've been looking up SVS subs lately, and heard a few in store. Give them a look. If you want to stay with Klipsch the 150s are nice IMO, 400w RMS.

I saw a youtube review where a RP6000F was used as rear surrounds with the 8000F for fronts and dual SPL150s. Think it was a 7.2.4 setup. They were supplied by Klipsch to the reviewer. Quite impressive. Checkout avsforum for opinions on using towers for rear surround, some have liked it, some say it's overkill.

I love the overall sound and clarity, very immersive. I mostly use it for gaming and sometimes Movies.

This is how I've set it up:

Left+Right: 2x RP-8000F
Center: RP-504C
Surround: RP-502S Pair
Rear: RP-600M Pair
Front Height: RP-502SA Pair
Rear Height: RP-502SA Pair
Overhead: 2x Micca M-8C

Amp: Denon AVR-X8500HA 13.2 Channel

Since this totals 13 Channels you'll need an amp that can power all at the same time.

I made the exact same upgrade w/ the previous RP line (25C -> 450C) and that was the single most $$$worthy jump in performance for the buck I've taken in upgrading any of my HT speakers. Also a much better match with the RP-280FAs fronts! (Imagine this is the same case w/ the newer 8000F/FAs also). Great line for HT usage! Been rocking all RP 5.2.4 system in my HT almost 5 years now and never going back to a movie theater haha.

really good deal. I pad $100 more ($1600) for 2xRP8000F/504C bundle in Walnut from sound distributors around Christmas time. Honestly surprised to see them this low again so soon. Hopefully that is a sign of things to come.
