Just got an email that DoorDash has extended the chase sapphire free membership till December 31st 2024

I just got off the phone with Chase customer support. I am one of the many who canceled their dash pass account ahead of time in fear of being charged. All you have to do is re-enroll via the app and it will say that your dash pass is still valid through the end of today. It will be a day or so for that to automatically update to say that your account is valid until December 31, 2024. There are no additional steps you need to do, Just re-enroll

It's kind of a wash with DoorDash charging so much in fees, I can use postmates to pick up office orders and it still be cheaper than Dashpass.

Only if you frequently use the service anyway. $60/year means that you get roughly three free meals per year. The monthly discount is far less valuable as you'd be paying $15 per meal per month if you bought a comparable meal. Anyone else still not receive an email and have it cancelled or charged if you didn't?
I cancelled mine a few days early and switched to the 3-month on the Freedom. On chase, the CSP benefit now says it ended:

I was planning to switch to chase freedom to extend my dash pass. But I guess this works out in the end!

I went to order something through doordash yesterday and was surprised to see my dashpass had expired on 1/31. Today I opened the app to see that the free pass is extended through 12/31/2024, when you enroll by March 31, 2022.

I've also found a business insider link here stating Starting in April 2022, Chase Sapphire Reserve® cardholders will receive $5 per month in DoorDash in-app credit. [businessinsider.com]

I got the email a couple of days ago as well, but it is still showing my complimentary Dashpass as expiring in July of this year. I have the Sapphire Preferred.

The restaurants pass the fees onto the customer. I have a hard time believing they aren't making money off doordash orders.

Of the restaurants I use, the items cost about $2-4 more on doordash than going and picking it up on my own. I'm ok with that and consider it a convenience fee. Sometimes the convenience is worth it to me.

I also tip my delivery person well. They are also part of my community. Smilie

Does this work for new Dashpass members (new to door dash all together actually)? I read through the thread and only see people that are renewing. Guess I'm behind the times…..

One benefit I've discovered of DoorDash is that I try new places I didn't know about in my area. Plus I only use DoorDash for restaurants that don't offer delivery themselves.
