Maybe try installing the BoostOne app for the new network, though I think I looked at it and it was all advertising. Sounds like the Boost Transformed Network (AT&T) is not ready for prime time. My new sim card will be delivered in two days. I checked my new account that I setup a couple of days ago and I can see my next billing amount which is $26.54. So $1.54 in taxes and fees for NY. I can also see the assigned phone number. It says my device is a Pixel 4 XL, which is just something they assigned. BTW, I just realized the 5GB plan is hard-capped. I was assuming it was 5GB of high speed data and then 2G speeds. I don't think so.

Let us know how you make out with the activation process.

So I was just looking at the plans, which I could only access after logging into my account, and there is a 6-month plan that has 5GB of HS data followed by unlimited slower data. It cost $90 for six months, which isn't too bad for being on the AT&T network.

I wrote off the $1 I spent on this. It's not worth fighting with them over this. They just can't get the SIM activated for some reason.

That's unfortunate, not a good sign. Thanks

So far its working good for me. Ordered on 2/10, shipped out on 2/11 and got the sim today, 2/16. Put the sim into an iPhone 6s with iOS 15.3.1 and it works fine. The carrier bundle seems to have been updated though, mine is Boost Mobile 49.2.0

Do you know if there is any way to switch from the one month plan to a six month or one year plan? Could calling the CS make this happen?

It was insanely difficult contacting Boost to tell them that you hadn't received a SIM order. The system keeps asking for the number associated with the account your inquiring about, which obviously doesn't exist if you haven't received a SIM to activate. Fortunately for me, I had two previous orders and was successful in pretending that a ported out number was still active. Only then could I speak to someone to give them the right email address associated with the order and then have a new SIM shipped.

I got the SIM (Black one so AT&T 5G). I put it in a compatible phone (unlocked iphone with latest iOS). I am still not able to activate the SIM.

I tried activating online and I got an error saying that they could not activate and asked me to try later.

I called customer service. They tried to activate it and said they had an error too. They put me on hold for 45 minutes and hung up.

Any tips on how I can resolve this?
Just give up I basically had the same experience… It was such a hassle and CS was annoying. They kept asking for my account phone number but I didn't even get one yet because I was trying to activate.

So I just received my sim card and installed it in a Pixel 3a. I had to setup the APN settings and it connected to the AT&T network. Internet access works fine, but mms is not working. Can't send or receive mms messages. Regular texting works fine, but no mms. I spoke with a Boost store this morning and asked if mms was working because I remember reading that someone had problems with mms and claimed it was not working in general.

I checked my apn settings a couple of times and everything looks good, using the settings from the my.boostmobile site. Any suggestions? Have others had any problems, or is it working on your phones?

Update: I moved the sim card to my Note 20 and the mms works fine. On the Pixel 3a I eventually got a message that said the file size was too large. Apparently the 3a does not take a captured photo and convert it when it's selected for mms. All is good!

I'm in a similar position - waiting for SIM card and chose to get a new number.

If you create an account on their website, you can get the phone number assigned to you even if you haven't received/activated the SIM card.

The SIM card will automatically be activated a few days after shipment UNLESS you choose to port in a number during checkout, even you didn't receive your SIM, it already activate, people loss around a week for the monthly service.

I know. My SIM card was shipped/activated on Feb 1st, and I'm still waiting for it. Since there's only 28 days this month, I'll have no more than 11 days of service.

What's funny (not "funny ha-ha" but "funny they may just get into legal troubles for it") is that right on the shipping email, they themselves acknowledge that the SIM card will take 5-7 business days to get to you. That means they're knowingly shortchanging their customers 5-9 days of service.

(I did get a PM from Boost's CS person here on SD, but it's been over 2 days and no news on that front either.)

You just don't seem able to troubleshoot well. And give up too easily.
