I called them to place the order and requested the representative to honor the price of a open box tv near my area and he was able to give me ~10% discount.

price breakdown
MSRP: $2,799.99
Sale: $2,699.99
Best buy gift card value: $700
Final Price: $2,450.00 + Taxes ($1,750 after $700 BB Gift Card)

I've seen this deal go for $2,699 + $700 GC (Costco or BB) but why I believe my deal is even slicker is b/c of the additional $250 off by just asking the rep.

Made additional charges so it's clear - don't mean to misguide anyone..

Basically, the TV is $2450 + $700 gift card = $1750

Not as far as SD goes thus the thumbs down trailing in. $700 BestBuy GC is only taking off the final price IF you have something else to buy at BestbBuy.

I do think this is a pretty good deal though.

I think people need to be fed here with a spoon to make it easier to read and gauge the deal by just reading title. In that sense, yes, I agree with you.

I guess OP got a good deal. I'd want to see the Q70 85" around $2000 with no gimmicks for it to be a great deal. BB has the Nano 90 86" for $2100.

price dropped, doesnt Best Buy honor price reductions? it dropped 300 bucks. it says 2199 on my bestbuy.com
