FYI, No volume buttons on the remote
I'd pony up to the Express 4K+ (3941R) just for the volume control.

IMHO, the 3941R is the perfect streamer for Samsung TV's due to having HDR10+ capability for Hulu, Showtime, Paramount+, and Amazon all while saving $10 due to not paying for a Dolby Vision license like on the Streaming Stick 3820R.
FYI for the people bummed about no volume/power buttons on the remote: Knock off roku remotes from Amazon are cheap and work great.

I have an old smart tv in basement that is super slow. Thinking about getting roku or fire stick.
What do you guys recommend.
I do have Alexa and prime if that makes a difference
I'd get Roku, just personal preference, I like Rokus UI a lot better than Fire Stick.

Dolby Vision is so much better. HDR10+ is the same contrast ratio and amount of colors as HDR. The only difference between 10+ and regular 10 is it adjusts settings on the fly. Dolby Vision has significantly better contrast and 67 billion more colors. No way would I sacrifice that. Samsung's picture can't compete with a good TV that has DV. Not to mention that this also doesn't pass through Dolby Atmos, which is game changing audio if you have a sound system that supports it.

FYI this does NOT have 5GHz band so you're stuck with WiFi 5 2.4GHz only which is noticeably slower. Get the Express 4K+ instead

I need disney plus, netflix, and amazon prime. Which streaming sticks are good for these three. Google chrome cast, fire TV or Roku?

I second this. For reference, I have 1 Fire and 4 Rokus. The only reason I would ever consider a Fire over a Roku is if there is an app that I absolutely need that the Fire has and Roku doesn't. Most major/mainstream apps are available on both though. Fire UI is just not even a close 2nd to Roku's. If you're thinking it's like Android vs iOS, it's not. More like dumpster fire (pun intended) vs NOT dumpster fire. Can you tell I hate the Fire? I also have Prime and Alexa but neither of those add anything invaluable to the Fire streaming experience. Alexa is basically = voice remote on Roku.
