Dell has the worrst customer service ever. I had to buy premium support to get a defective device(on delivery) fixed. Replacement eta was 90 days.

Did not want to return it because Amex gave me $400 back on the deal(end of december)

I don't remember if it was ever in fine print but I've done these Amex/Dell offers for years now (6-7yrs?) and I've always received CB on outlet products. In fact, I think last year Nov was the first time I've ever bought a "new" Dell, otherwise I go w/ outlet 100% as I've never had issues.

When you say CB you mean this amex 120 offer not the cb sites like rat-uke-n right?

Yeah sorry for the confusion, this Amex offer. I double-dip with CB websites on top and I even canceled an order in early Nov and when CB websites went from 6-12% I re-ordered the same thing to get extra $. I even chat with Amex and they said on their side it qualified. Honestly they are pretty good about it, like I said, never had issue getting it.

Dell is awful. Bought a $2k laptop from them in 2016 that had issues from the start. Just not a company for quality products. It's no wonder they have to continuously play these discount games to try and trick people.

This deal could be great if the promo is used for non-Dell products.

I really want to ask the college students and young adults out there: please love yourself and avoid Dell.

As title says, check your AMEX offers....

I believe Dell takes up to 2 payments, so you may save $240 with 2 cards. I got 5 on my 5 different cards.

DETAILS
Get a one-time $120 statement credit by using your enrolled eligible Card to spend a minimum of $599 in one or more purchases online at dell.com by 4/2/2022. See terms.

OFFER TERMS
Enrollment limited. Must first add offer to Card and then use same Card to redeem. Only U.S.-issued American Express® Cards are eligible. Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member across all American Express offer channels. Your enrollment of an eligible American Express Card for this offer extends only to that Card. Offer valid online only at US website dell.com or via phone at 1-888-609-0525. Valid only for purchases made directly with the merchant. This offer does not apply to refurbished items, systems or spare parts and is not valid for online auctioneers, Professional Associations, or other Dell Member Purchase Programs. Excludes all e-gift card and gift card purchases, international transactions, international contact center, Global events, Dell Financial services, Dell Healthcare, Dell Outlet for Home, Dell Outlet for Work, Dell PartnerDirect, Dell Premier, Dell Premier Connect, Dell Premier Select, and authorized Dell® retailers. Not valid on purchases shipped outside the US, Puerto Rico, USVI and Guam. See merchant website for shipping policy. Some merchants may not ship to all areas. Offer is non-transferable. Limit of 1 statement credit per Card Member. You may not receive the statement credit if we receive inaccurate information or are otherwise unable to identify your purchase as qualifying for the offer. For example, you may not receive the statement credit if (a) the merchant uses a third-party to sell their products or services; or (b) the merchant uses a third-party to process or submit your transaction to us (e.g., using mobile or wireless card readers); or (c) you choose to make a purchase using a third-party payment account or make a purchase using a mobile or digital wallet. Purchases may fall outside of the offer period in some cases due to a delay in merchants submitting transactions to us or if the purchase date differs from the date you made the transaction (for example, the purchase date for online orders may be the shipping date). Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 4/2/2022, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase. Note that American Express may not receive information about your qualifying purchase from merchant until all items/services from your qualifying purchase have been shipped/provided by merchant. Statement credit may be reversed if qualifying purchase is returned/cancelled. If American Express does not receive information that identifies your purchase as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive the statement credit. Limit 1 enrolled Card per American Express Card online account. The enrolled Card account must be active, not past due, canceled, or have a returned payment outstanding to receive the statement credit. Any benefit earned from this offer is in addition to the rewards (i.e. Membership Rewards or cash back) earned as part of your existing Card benefits, but your ability to earn spend-based rewards for the purchase will be based on the amount after any statement credit or other discount is applied. Amex Offers are dynamic and personalized, so the offers you see may change. For questions regarding your Card Account, please call the number on the back of your Card. By adding an offer to a Card, you agree that American Express may send you communications about the offer. POID: K37L:0001

Let me get this straight -- you bought something from somewhere and paid on your AMEX. The item was defective on delivery (DOA) and the company you bought it from wouldn't accept a return or honor a warranty so you had to turn to AMEX, and you say AMEX is the worst customer service? LMAO

In my 20 years experience with them in both Business and Consumer, I can always count on them to have my back.
