Not sure what these are made of, but these are the only dog treat I've ever had bug issues with. They were put into a container that didn't get entirely closed all the way, and we had TONS of gnats that had eaten holes in them (we don't give them to the dogs all the time so it'd been a while since we'd looked at them) We ended up having to throw away everything there were so many. I've never seen bugs like that when it comes to dog chews before.

It is the honey, the main ingredient. The smell of honey attracts any type of gnats either indoors or outdoors. Bright colours and sugary smell attract insects towards them
