This warranty does not cover any kind of damage to the TV, the cost of removal or reinstallation, or burn in on the television screen. Stolen TVs are also not covered.
I found that on thier website but it's contradictory to what's shown on the box on the Buydig website...

There was a similar slick deal a few weeks ago from Secondipity that also had the "CJ" model, so perhaps Costco had an influx of returns to liquidate - they do not typically re-sell returns as open box in store
With that being said, this "refurb" status might have a better chance of being almost like new condition as opposed to other refurb sales on sites like Woot that are more "scratch and dent" of a previous year's model - and thus more of a shot in the dark on what condition you might get if you pull the trigger.
This is better than the LG A1 65" that is the same price at Costco right now. Yes, you go not get the Costco extended warranty you would get if you have the Costco Visa. But that warranty does not cover burn in and still requires you to go through a 3rd party to make a claim (can't just bring it back to Costco if in year 2 something malfunctions).

I am 90% sure if I ever need to use the warranty it's going to be useless.
It also says it's NOT in home service on a 65-inch tv.....

Concerning the warranty, Sony doesn't make replacement screens. We can't source them for a repair. If your warranty provides an exchange or purchase refund, then your good.
I have a feeling this warranty only covers repairs and labor. Burn in , panel issue, damage all would not be repairable since the replacement screened couldn't be sourced. From what it sounds like, they may only refund the price of warranty. Also, starts 30 days after purchase so it doesn't cover delivery or install in first 30 days. I'd be wary of the warranty.

Edit: Since I pulled the trigger I went ahead and registered on CPS. My warranty was linked already. I reached out to support to get the contract terms and conditions. I'll post them here and avsforums if I get them.

With that being said, certain brands have higher quality standards than others and probably better QA processes but I also wonder whether those differ by region/factory as well as the specific model type and how much it costs.
I would be interested in buying another one of these or possibly a 77" model for my man cave if the price is right.
