I have only had my roomba 10 months and it stopped working. It will not pick up dirt and debris. Once the robot has finished the job- the canister is empty. I clean the brushes daily and the filter once a week. The rubber brushes are cracking and seem poor quality. I would not recommend this product to friends or family."
Edit: After seeing this and another poor review at the iRobot Store, think I will pass on risking $600 on a 1 yr warranty:

I clean the brushes daily and the filter once a week. The rubber brushes are cracking and seem poor quality. I would not recommend this product to friends or family."
I don't have this specific Roomba yet (although mine shipped already), but I had the same issue with my Neato where it wouldn't pick up anything. It turned out that a drier sheet had gotten stuck inside it and was basically acting as an air filter. Once I pulled that out, it worked as before. I wouldn't be surprised if a blockage is the issue for that person as well.
Paid with my Amex so I will get the extra year warranty just in case.

I have a 130 pound malamute and my i7+ doesn't have issues tangling from his large hair clumps, or from long human hair. It also cleans much better on carpet than my Roborock, which I did end up having to detangle daily due to the mal. The j7 did clean slightly less well than the i7 for rtings but it still should be a good choice for a robot vacuum. My only complaint is the use of disposable bags but you can either sew a zipper onto one or buy a bag with a zipper sewn in.
