Got one of these on clearance about 3-4 years ago.
I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised by its power and ease of use.

Currently they have their 60V Bluetooth batteries on a bit of a sale.

Though, they just had a 20% sitewide coupon that recently expired which would offer additional/better value - sales come and go there, so if it's not urgent you'll find something

Same. Used it on some fairly sizable trees. It has plenty of power. Only issue is the battery runs down fairly quickly, but otherwise it's a really good saw

Could you elaborate? I have 4 of the 2.0AH batteries for my 60V stuff. Can I take down a 20" tree and make some decent work on it? How does it compare to gas? I imagine the chain speed would not be the same.

I had one, but returned it. Great power but battery life lasts maybe 30 cuts in a 10-12" log. If you have 3-4 batteries or use it for branches and small stuff around the house, then you'd be fine.

For anyone that's cutting firewood or stuff like that, gas just makes more sense.

I mean - for the market, they're quite relevant. Batteries are never cheap for these systems and are why Tool Only deals exist. These lawn tool systems (Ego, Greenworks, etc) operate on higher voltages than the 'common' store brands

Greenworks 60V Bluetooth 5.0Ah (on sale) -$180 [greenworkstools.com] ($36/Ah | 60V)
Greenworks 60V 5.0Ah (non-Bluetooth, non-sale) - $199 [greenworkstools.com] ($40/Ah | 60V)
Greenworks 80V 5.0Ah -$300 [greenworkstools.com] ($60/Ah | 80V)
Milwaukee 18V5.0Ah - $150 [homedepot.com] ($30/Ah | 18V)
Ryobi 18V 6.0Ah -$140 [homedepot.com] ($23.33/Ah | 18V)
Ryobi 40V 5.0Ah - $180 [homedepot.com] ($36/Ah | 40V)
Ego 56V 5.0Ah - $234 [amazon.com] ($46.80/Ah | 56V)

Why does anyone want Bluetooth battery? On a related note bought a ryobi 40v 16" recently and was pleasantly surprised by the power but yeah battery goes pretty quick.

I have lots of Greenworks 40V tools (mower, chainsaw, pole saw, blower, etc.) and I'm happy with all of them. I imagine the 60V and 80V tools are even better, but for the majority of homeowners doing jobs around the house, the 40V will be more than enough. 60V and 80V are just nice upgrades.

I have the 40 and 60 and the blower on the 40 is nothing compared to the 60 and i bet 80 is even better.
