IMO, at this price this grinder is a no brainer for anyone in the market for an inexpensive. America's Test Kitchen rates it their top inexpensive grinder.
ATK performed blind taste tests with the staff and Boston-area experts (coffee dealers, coffee shop owners, baristas and regular coffee drinkers), and no one could tell the difference between coffee made from grounds from bur vs blade grinders.
That suggests that uniform size of grounds has little to not detectable impact on flavor, even for coffee experts. Even more so for us regular coffee drinkers.
I've had this grinder for a few months and it's been great. I follow James Hoffman's instructions on approximating lattes and cappuccinos at home with this grinder and an aeropress and was shocked by how decent the coffee turned out.
Just keep in mind to pulse the grinder, then shake the grounds, then pulse again. This keeps grounds from hiding under the blade.

You cannot clean this properly with soap and water, instructions states (for base) wipe down with damp cloth. Thus now I have the Cuisinart, which I can completely submerge (and dishwasher friendly) in soap and water to clean. Now I don't have to worry about my coffee tasting like a hint of cumin (although I still have two grinders separate for spices and coffee).
However the Cuisinart is 40 bucks while this is under 15, so not exactly the same.
(note: weed is recreational in my state, not that that stopped me before)
My only criticism is finely ground coffee can pack into the corners so you will have to use your finger to scoop it out. It's not difficult, just adds one more step in the process.
If you like finely ground coffee and desire to switch to whole bean and do it yourself, this is a good deal.

Think of it like boiling potatoes. You're typically aiming for a particular doneness of the potatoes and its a lot easier to hit that if all of your potatoes are the same size. Coffee underextract is sour, coffee overextracted is bitter. You will be overextracting some grounds, but underextracting others... usually producing a lower extraction yield and a less tasty cup.
I wouldn't recommend this grinder to anyone doing anything but french press or just shoving the coffee in a reusable k-cup unless this is the absolute most you're willing to pay. Saving up $100 or so would get you some amazing grinders for pretty much anything but espresso (like a commandante if you can tolerate manual grinding).
Still kickin' it!

We drink espresso and having used most all, this cheap blade grinder gets used 8 or 10 times a day for now going on three years. I did buy an extra just in case, but every time I think the bearings are about gone, I tap it upside down a couple times like when emptying the grounds and the noise goes away.
I know several people that use this same grinder for already ground coffee to freshen it up and release more oils. Doing so does make for stronger coffee with the same amount.

If Walmart has in stock, they have been from $13 to $20. When Walmart runs out of stock, as has happened, they have been as high as $30 from 3rd party sellers. I was looking for one before Christmas as a gift and it was close to $20 and just left in cart. About a week later, they had dropped back down to about this price, so I bought and shipped it.
