If you find lower prices you can price match them and the promotion will still apply. I did it the last time they had this promotion back in November. As with any double stacking it is YMMV as to whether or not they'll allow the PM and promotion.

$40 is not too much at all for MK8, Pokemon Arceus, Mario Party Superstar, and such.

So what? They'll be in the bargain bin soon enough. Every game ends up there eventually.
Well then what does it all come down to for someone like us?
Most likely anything that doesn't sell well these days will end up getting shipped back to corporate and then sold in a cheap bundle to Big Lots, Dollar Tree, Five Below, Ross, or one of the many other liquidators/resellers. That's why Big Lots is called "lots" because they buy big lots of clearance items, mark them up, and resell them in lieu of the bargain bin which is going the way of the dodo. I know it's a minor nitpick but rather than saying they'll end up in the bargain bin, it's more accurate to say they'll be resold cheaper by one of these liquidator chains or online stores.

I see literal bargain bins every single time I go to best buy, so I'm not sure what's happening in your area. Go into any target and you'll find a clearance endcap with discounted games, too. It's much more expensive to ship them back than it is to drop the price to $20 or less and sell them. I've seen several PS5 games at that price within the last month. You can also keep an eye on gaefly for cheap games deals. It's easy to find bargains in gaming.
Assuming you mean price? I'd say $19.99 or less.
As to be ok to wait a long time? Idk if that even smart. I mean price isn't everything. If one likes it, how much they paid for doesn't matter. I don't get why pit picky on $ based on how well the game is perceived to everyone.
