Mine had them buried on a palet up top. Make them check inventory and if in stock, make them look or look for them. I've found BrickSeek amazingly accurate with HD actual inventory.

How do I know (from home) that this is on clearance at my store? It's currently showing as in stock.

I find that Brickseek (see post #3), while not always 100% accurate, is the best tool available to help find locations where it might be on clearance and in stock. You'll have visit the store to see the price.

Brickseek isn't always 100% accurate, but were you seeing that $199 price on the shelf tag or at the register? Were you looking at this version [homedepot.com] which is on clearance versus this version [homedepot.com] which isn't?

Thank you for the help here! So, I saw the price on the shelf tag, but also brought the ladder to the register and had them scan it. Each time, it showed up marked as clearance in their system, but with the $199 price. I didn't realize there were different versions, but it's definitely the one you mentioned. I made sure to check the sku. Thanks again!
