To a certain extent with fitted clothes. I'm 6' and wear a 32-34 depending on brand, and I'm very average sized. My dad is also the same height and wears the same... If you're over or underweight I would expect 28-40, but if you're not normal you can't expect fitted clothing to be either...On the other hand, "normal" sized clothing is the one that always sells out and can never find any. Have fun finding 32x32, 32x34, 34x32, or 34,34 at most stores. Same goes for a L mens shirt... average guy is an L. Some are XL or M but few are S or XXL. P.S. Snowpants only come in s/m/l/xl/etc... because they also have the same stretchy band most the time.
